She grinned. "Yes, let's."

While Ollie shuffled off toward the guest house, Eve and I headed into our house. Yes, I'd started to think of it as "our" house, which didn't bother me the way it might have a few weeks ago. We were living together after all.

And I liked it.

Chapter Twenty-Five

Eve

My clothes lay here, there, and everywhere in the bedroom. I'd tossed them away without a thought for where they might land, more concerned with getting Val hot and bothered with my striptease. Not that it took much to get Val in the upright position for takeoff. Sometimes all I needed to do was wink at him. His easygoing nature did not extend to our intimate times. He could be tender, sure, but he could also become the most scorching, inventive, and energetic lover.

That explained why I was currently lying half on top of him, my cheek on his chest, lazing in the afterglow of sweaty, mind-blowing sex.

I pushed up on one elbow to admire the tattoos on his arm and chest. The dragon that snaked down his biceps had intrigued me since the day we met, but I'd never quite gotten around to asking about it. I traced the tattoo's lines with my fingertip.

"Does this dragon have some meaning?" I asked.

"The design is inspired by Amaru, the winged serpent of Tiwanaku, but it's a stylized version." He took hold of my finger, dragging it along the tattoo while he explained. "It has the body of an anaconda and the head of a bird. Amaru represents the power of nature, and to the Incas, it became a protective deity. No one knows what the people of Tiwanaku thought of Amaru, since their civilization died out many thousands of years ago. Tiwanaku is in the mountains of Bolivia."

"Wow, you're a history buff. I learn something new about you every day." I tickled his skin with the finger he still held. "Your love of ancient mythology is wicked sexy."

"I also know about legends of Brazil. Would it turn you on to hear about those?"

"Absolutely." I wriggled my finger free of his grasp. "Does touching your tattoo give me magical powers?"

"You don't need magic to entrance me."

I bent to lave my tongue over the lines of his tattoo, beginning with the tail and gliding my way up to the wings and the head.

He sucked in a breath.

I swirled my tongue around the dragon's head.

Val dived a hand into my hair, cradling my head, halting my exploration. "Don't awaken the beast unless you want to be devoured."

"As much as I'd love that, I should check on the guests." I hopped off the bed and started collecting my clothes. "I need to cheer up Ollie. He's really bummed about Heidi."

"What are you going to do? He has a broken heart, but it will heal."

"I should do something." While I pulled on my panties, I mulled the problem. By the time I got my bra on, no ideas had come to me. I paused, hands on my hips. "How does a woman console a man she's not sleeping with? I mean, I know how to make you feel better, but a blow job doesn't seem appropriate for Ollie."

"While I'm sure he would love that, I'd rather you didn't."

Tugging on my shorts, I pretended to be confused. "Really? And I thought you were such a bohemian."

He sat up and shimmied to the foot of the bed, reaching out to grasp the waistband of my shorts and pull me toward him. "I'm an exhibitionist, remember? Never claimed to be a bohemian. I'd share my sunscreen with Ollie, but I won't share you with anyone."

"I won't share you either."

"Good." He placed his open mouth over my belly button and swirled his tongue inside it. "Sharing is overrated."

"Have you ever done a threesome?"

"Twice. I prefer to have one woman all to myself."

"I do love your one-track mind."

Those lips traveled higher while his hands slid down my thighs. "How can I think of anything else when I'm with you?"
