"Calli and I are going for a drive," I announce. "Alone."

Maybe I could've been less obvious about my intentions, but I don't care if Jamie and Gavin know I plan to ravish his sister. After all, Gavin is trying it on withmysister.

When I had confided my escape plan to Calli while we prepared lunch, she agreed by saying, "Oh God, yes, please. As soon as possible."

Two full days without feeling her warm, silky flesh around my cock have driven me to the brink of madness.

Gavin aims a hard look at me. "I'm watching you."

The slight twitch of his lips belies his vague threat. Not that any of his threats fash me. I have two older brothers and an army of male cousins. No amount of glaring or threats will chase me away from Calli.

I remove my palm from her thigh so I can clasp her hand. Then I glance at my sister before returning my gaze to Gavin. "Got my eye on you too."

Aye, the way I squint my eyes conveys more humor than menace. I'm not a naturally threatening man, though I do have my moments. If I ever meet Calli's husband, I might turn into Rory and aim a hot, steely glare at the man right before I batter him.

I lead Calli across the yard and through the house, out to the convertible waiting for us in the driveway. Lachlan's gift convertible. I've made my peace with my brother's need to overindulge when it comes to gifts for me. Before Calli has time to ask about my specific plans, I whisk her away on a mysterious drive down the highway. Aye, she has no idea exactly what I have in mind. I'd told her we should get away for a while so we could shag, but I hadn't shared the details of what I want to do with her. To her. For her. Over and over and over.

As the scenery races by and her hair whips around her, she gazes at me with an expression I can only describe as adoration. "I'm all for a sex getaway, but where exactly are we going?"

I can't help infusing my smile with smug satisfaction. "It's a surprise."

"Since you're new to the area, do you even know where you're going?"

"You doubt me?" I feign taking offense. "I researched it online. And I've got supplies in the boot."

"In your boot?" She leans over to peer down at my feet. "You're wearing tennies."

I roll my eyes. "Not inmyboot, in the car's boot."

"What's the boot?"

"The trunk." I hook a thumb over my shoulder, toward the rear of the car. "What are tennies?"

"Tennis shoes. Sneakers." She gestures at my feet. "Those."

"Ah."

Calli relaxes into her seat with one arm on the center console, the other on the door's armrest. "Guess the culture clash has hit us at last."

"No, it hit us when I spoke naughty Gaelic to you."

"Oh yeah, how could I forget that?" She smiles at me, the expression rife with sensuality. "You can talk dirty to me in Gaelic again if you want."

"Best wait until I'm not steering a fast-moving vehicle." I throw her a sidelong glance, complete with a suggestive smirk. "Talking dirty to you tends to get me excited."

"Doesn't seem to take a lot to get you excited."

I wink. "You either,mo chridhe."

"Three times you've called me that. What does it mean?"

"My heart."

Her face goes blank.

I probably shouldn't have admitted to what that Gaelic phrase means, but I don't want to hold back with her. Still, I expect she will panic now that she knows I think of her in such romantic terms.

Calli recovers from the shock swiftly, and we go back to talking and laughing—and teasing each other with sexy innuendo. At least she didn't have an anxiety attack this time when I expressed tenderness for her. We pass the remainder of our trip in casual discussions of our respective siblings, the scenery, cultural differences, and countless other things. After two hours, we reach our destination.
