Axel offered me his hand, heat igniting in his amber eyes. “Come, love, it’s your feeding time.”
My pulse spiked. I needed him.
But I turned to look at Zak and Paxton. “We should tend to Zak and... Paxton first.”
Warmth brimmed in Zak’s eyes, and Paxton smirked at me.
“We’ll recover soon,” the sky demigod said. “We’ll stand guard while we rest.”
“Maybe you two should split the elixir and speed up the healing process?” I asked, still worried. I didn’t like to see them hurt.
“The last vial of elixir will be for an emergency,” Paxton said. “Don’t worry about us, Buttercup. Go feed.”
Zak nodded. “Go, Rosebud. We’ll regroup in an hour to discuss new plans.”
The demigods were all territorial. In the past, they hadn’t been able to stay in the same room without breaking into a fight, so they’d never stayed in the same location together for long, not until I’d come into their lives. Now they’d become a united front with a shared mate and a new common enemy.
I put my hand in Axel’s large one and let him lead me into a bedroom.
My need for the Demigod of War pounded in my heated veins.

Axel picked the bedroomnext to Héctor’s master bedroom. This bed was vast as well. He snapped his fingers and both of our bloodstained outfits vanished in a blink. The dried blood coated on my skin also disappeared.
I felt as clean as I could get. The demigods all had neat tricks.
“Under other circumstances, I’d love to undress you and taste you slowly, Cookie,” Axel said. “But I need to feed you right away.”
“I don’t like the word ‘feed.’ It made me feel like a monster,” I said.
He only grinned at me with all the sexiness in the world. “You’re my little monster.”
He didn’t mind it at all. None of the demigods minded that I had to take energy from them, mostly through sexual intercourse. Instead, they were all eager to give me anything I needed. However, if they knew that I had demon blood in me and that it might be the demon part feeding on them would they still be so eager?
While I was dazed by Axel’s smile and drenched in my shame, my core clenched in urgent desire. My body’s carnal, hungry need overrode every piece of guilt within me.
Axel pulled me against his hard chest, his hot skin pressing against mine deliciously.
