“The hound did not give you his fill?” Talon growled warningly as I smirked at him.

Aida was unperturbed. “Of course, but if we’re to be husband and wife, shouldn’t I take yours too?”

“You would like that.” I reached out, grabbing her throat as I held her in place. “Abaddon …” I wracked my mind for the mythology I was looking for. “Demon of Sloth. You enjoy lying there and taking big, fat cocks, do you, slut?”

“Magnus,” Talon said with a warning growl. I glanced at him for a moment before returning to Aida. My cock stretched against my trousers, longing to fulfill these filthy words.

“Not just any cocks,” she said thickly, reaching out to cup me in her tight grip. “Only those I deem worthy, and your mouth is worthy, so this should be too.” She squeezed me, a thousand promises of what I could do to her lingering in her eyes. I wanted to do it, but the fear of what might happen if I did paralyzed me.

“No.” I pushed her away with the hand at her throat. “I want a clean cunt for my wedding day. Not dripping with someone else’s jizz.” I gave Talon a hard look before looking back at her. “Make sure you’re empty by the time you walk down the aisle, demoness.”

Her expression turned cold as if she had been testing me and I’d failed. “You didn’t seem to disapprove of his ‘jizz’ last night.”

“Last night was different.”

“What changed then?” Talon asked, perhaps more for himself than for me.

Everything.

“Then I saw her fucking the hired help.” I held his gaze until he shifted, standing before me as his hell-hound form. He was truly magnificent—a massive beast of fur and fury. Foam hung from his fangs as he snarled and hissed at me, threatening without words. Aida frowned and stepped back, running her hand through his fur.

“He’s not worth it, Talon. No one has a gun to my head; we do not have to stay here with him.” She turned, snapping her fingers and making Talon follow on her heel. The door slammed shut behind them, and I closed my eyes, crushing the glass still in my hand.

It felt like I’d yanked my own heart from my chest, but this was the only way to protect us—protect her. As much as I wanted her, I couldn’t have her because I couldn’t risk the fallout of being selfish.

TALON

In any other scenario, the words he’d said may have been meant for arousal, but the look in his eye said differently. He was mocking her, trying to hurt her, and I wouldn’t stand for that.

Aida and I reached the front steps of the manor, and I shifted back, though the restless energy of my hound still bristled through me.

“I should’ve known coming here for my brothers was all a game.” She turned to me, waving her hand and putting clothes back on me. “I can’t think straight when your cock is staring at me like that.”

A soft smirk appeared as I reached out, catching her wrist and turning her toward me. Glancing over my shoulder at the window to his office, Magnus stood staring at us, and I frowned. He was listening. Turning back to the open grounds before us, I yowled, summoning an entrance to Hell. At least back home, we’d be safe from prying ears, and it was a place he could not come without us.

She glanced at me before checking over her shoulder, spotting him too. With a nod of approval, she led the way and entered the fiery pit. Stepping right in, we should’ve fallen but landed on our feet amidst the fire and brimstone of our home.

“His thoughts were scrambled, but I heard bits and pieces that make no sense. He wants me; that is undeniable. But he refuses to allow himself. His mind kept saying it was dangerous. He kept saying he had to do it to keep me safe.” She frowned as she shook me off her, walking forward into her kingdom as she spoke.

“He was deliberately pushing you away?”

“It seems.” She stopped walking and turned back to me. “But I could not hear why. I think it has to do with the wedding. He was relieved when we walked out and even more so when you opened a gate to Hell. He wanted us gone for good.”

“And you, Mistress, what do you want?” I stepped toward her as she exhaled, her body folding into itself. It was a sight very different from the one I associated with my demoness. Even as the Princess of Sloth, she was still strong and powerful. She made men beg for forgiveness at her feet. This … was something else.

“You’ve opened my eyes, Talon. You’ve shown me love when all my life I have been fueled by anger and hatred. My brothers compete over the adoration of our father, but I have always been a pawn. I could’ve fought back over going to Magnus, but the idea of being out from under their ploys was intriguing. Perhaps it was naïve of me to believe that being there, taking a vessel, and having control of an empire was possible, but for a moment, I considered it. And then I saw Magnus, and that longing inside me brimmed. Like with you, I wanted him and not for any nefarious reason. He has no soul, after all.” She frowned. “I told you this morning that if I had to choose someone, I would choose you. Your loyalty and love for me deserve nothing else. But, it would be remiss to say I didn’t feel something for Magnus now either.”

I nodded, stepping closer to her as I folded her in my arms. “And me too. I meant it. My soul sings for both of you. Together we are one, but I, too, would choose you if I was forced to. You are my first love, and I would happily make you my one and only.”

She pressed her face to my chest, holding onto me tightly. “I think that settles it, then.” She sighed, pulling away enough to look at me. “If we care for him, we must show him no danger is worth denying ourselves. After all, you and I are nearly immortal. What danger could possibly hurt us?”

I kissed the top of her head as I considered the options. She was right, few things could physically harm or kill us, but there were still dangerous things. “If he doesn’t want to marry you, it must be for a reason. Have you spoken to your brothers since they sent you here?”

She shook her head, looking around for a moment. “But I could summon them here, and they would have to answer.”

She pulled away from me and headed through her territory. She couldn’t summon another demon to her territory. Only she was bound here. But if she crossed into someone else’s, they would have to answer the threat.

She marched into the adjacent territory belonging to her sister, Bellatrix—Belphegor.
