“What was that? Like five times?”

I nodded against him. “Mmm. Seven?” Then I laughed at how ridiculous that sounded.

He ran his hand over me again. It was still ticklish, but less. I still twitched.

“You liked it,” he said, sounding surprised.

“Was that not the idea?” I asked.

He huffed a rough chuckle as he wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his nose in my shoulder. “I just didn’t expect the good little princess to like it dirty.”

“Whatdidyou expect, Valen? I’d be all vanilla and only let you do me missionary?”

“Mm, no,” he said, and I felt him smile against my neck. “Not really. I don’t know.”

“Did you think about it? About me?”

“More than I should.” His hands went to my waist, and he sat up to look in my eyes. “I thought about the day we met. I thought about our first class together three years ago. Being stuck in the same room as you where all I could think about was how much I wanted to bend you over Mr Galikani’s desk and make you mine.”

I broke out in a smile which would not suppress a laugh.

“What?” he asked, searching my eyes.

“I thought about that, too.”

At the look of awed disbelief on his face, I buried my face in his shoulder again to hide my smile.

“Fucking hell,” he muttered, brushing my hair back to kiss my neck.

I tilted my head to give him better access.

“You still think this won’t happen again?” he asked.

“You do?”

“The only hope we have is for you to fuck me out of your system.”

“Oh, you’d like that. Wouldn’t you?”

His lips grazed over my throat, trailed across my cheek and brushed a whispered kiss over my lips. “So would you.”

My clit very much agreed with him. Had it been in charge, I would have definitely tried fucking him out of my system, whatever exactly that entailed. But my larger head was in charge.

“It’s irrelevant and not at all necessary because I don’t need to fuck you out of my system.”

“Say it again,” he purred against my throat, making my nipples pull taught.

“Say what?” I asked.

“Like you mean it this time.” I heard the humour in his voice.

I pushed him away from me in annoyance.

“You are so arrogant,” I spat. “You honestly think people have nothing better to do than lie in their beds, wishing you were pounding them?”

The fact I had done so once – or twice – had no bearing on my point.

“You say you’re done, and yet here we are. Your face still flushed that pleasant shade of pink from what I did to you.”
