“I love you, I love you, I love you,” she chants, getting louder as we both reach for our peaks. Her nails dig into my shoulders, ripping at my clothes as she lifts her hips to meet my brutal thrusts, and when I reach down and flick her clit, she comes apart for me on a howl.

Snarling, I fight her tightening cunt, driving into her once, twice more before stilling with my own howl. I cry out my release as I fill her with it and make her mine forever.

Panting, I rest my head against her chest, feeling her racing heart as we both struggle to breathe. When her heart slows, and our breathing is more even, I lift my head and kiss her softly. “I love you so much, wife, so fucking much.” I frame her cheeks with both hands then search her eyes. “Marry me,” I blurt out.

She blinks before letting out a musical laugh that has my heart soaring. “We are already married, silly.”

“No, for real this time. Marry me because you love me, because you want to.” She sobers, staring at me in confusion, and I swallow my nerves. “Let’s do it properly this time. The whole big day with traditions, friends, family, and vows. I want the whole world to know how fucking lucky I am to have you. I want the real deal. I want to look into your eyes and see love, not fear.” She softens against me, her eyes gleaming with tears as I surge forward. “I want to do this for real. I want to be yours with nothing else between us. So, Layla, will you marry me for real this time?”

“Yes,” she croaks before laughing and throwing her arms around me. “Yes, you brilliant, dangerous man, I will.”

My heart bursts from my chest, or at least it feels like it as I kiss her, showing her everything I wish I could tell her, like how much she means to me and how I could never live without her . . .

How she saved me.

CHAPTER30

Layla

It’s my wedding day . . .again.

Alaric insisted we do this properly and that I get my dream wedding—not that I had ever dreamed of one before, but with him? Damn right I did. When he proposed yet again and suggested this, I was more than willing to take this man to be mine forever and to truly love him when I say I do.

He’s right. If we are starting over and doing this properly, then we need to have this wedding. As I stare at the doors of the church, I can’t help but grin. There isn’t even an ounce of nervousness filling me like last time. In fact, I want to run down the aisle and offer myself to him forever. I know he feels the same. Last night we tried to spend the night apart to follow tradition, but halfway through the night, he woke me with his cock in my pussy claiming one night, never mind a few hours, was too much for him to be away from me ever again.Swoon. He was right, though, because I missed him something fierce and never wanted to wake up alone again.

And now I don’t have to.

He’s mine forever, and I am his.

The music starts, my cue, and I look over at Zoey and grin. She’s beautiful. She didn’t want a traditional princess dress. Oh no, she wanted to look like her hero Alaric and be here for both of us, since neither he nor I have any other real family—apart from his dad who is already in there with him.

The thought of our little family makes tears fill my eyes, and Zoey frowns at me as she adjusts her bow tie. “No crying, you’ll ruin your makeup,” she warns.

“You’re right.” I suck in a breath and blink the tears away so as not to ruin the hard work of the makeup artist who turned up this morning alongside a hairstylist. I planned to do my own, but when they showed up at my door, I wasn’t surprised when they said they were a gift from Alaric. I did pick out my own dress and venue though. I just wanted us here, no one else, and he agreed, but I wanted a church wedding, and he was willing to give me whatever I wanted.

I hold a bouquet of beautiful lilies, sunflowers, and roses, and straighten my veil that trails behind me, making me feel like a princess.

Unlike my last wedding dress, this one makes me feel loved, beautiful, and like the wife I already am. The bodice of the stunning off-white dress—because fuck tradition—shows off my breasts before flaring out. The back is a crisscrossing strap, emphasizing the long train which blends with the veil. The bottom half is an off-white gauzy fabric that sparkles with diamonds arranged in a celestial pattern, and the capped sleeves cascade down in a beautiful cape. I feel like a goddess, and since I often thank the stars for Alaric, it seemed appropriate that I picked this dress.

I nod, and the wooden doors open. I start to walk down the aisle as the organ plays a soft love song, and then I see him. He stands with his back to me, and he’s dressed in a black suit that fits him like a glove, showing off his amazing ass and muscles. He’s so beautiful it hurts, and then he turns to me, and those blue eyes freeze me in place for a moment like they always do.

He gulps as his gaze runs down my body before flicking back up to meet mine. His eyes are glassy with tears as he mouths, “I love you.”

I can’t help but grin, and I speed up, almost running down the aisle to him.

Muttering, “Fuck it,” he strides toward me. “I can’t wait another moment to start our lives together,” he tells me, taking both my hand and Zoey’s before leading us to the front of the church. “You both look absolutely beautiful,” he says, looking between us before winking at Zoey. She giggles and steps back, and then he focuses on me. “Baby girl . . .” He swallows, lost for words. “You are my everything.”

“Let’s not start with the vows yet.” The pastor laughs, making both of us turn to him. Then, hand in hand, we get married. Zoey presents the rings, and he slides a new one onto my finger. It’s more stunning than anything I could have ever imagined and so unique. It’s a moss-colored diamond set in a rose gold band, with other diamonds surrounding it. It’s beautiful and different, like us. When we can finally kiss, he dips me back, stealing my heart once more as he swallows my moan.

Zoey claps and cheers alongside Alaric’s father, and when I straighten, I’m crying and laughing. She steps up to us and takes each of our hands. “I’m so happy.”

“Me too,” I reply, smiling at them. “So very, very happy.”

She looks at Alaric, and he grins down at her. Nothing but love shines in his eyes.

“Thank you for being our angel all these years. Thank you for never giving up on us like everyone else did,” Zoey tells him, and I watch as he falls to his knees before her, showing her vulnerability and respect.

“Never.” He glances at me and then pulls me closer. “It’s us three against the world, and it will never hurt you again, not as long as I’m around.” A tear drips down his face as he kisses her cheek and then my hand. “You were the ones who saved me, and I will spend the rest of our lives earning that kind mercy. Now, how about we get out of here and start our lives together as a family?”
