I arched into her grasp.

“You want me like this?” Her eyes glittered

“Yes, Jo, yes.”

“Ooh, that does sound nice.” She winked, and my dick twitched. This seductive, confident side was going to kill me.

“How did you picture me?” she asked.

I pulled her hips up and forward, then slowly settled her onto me. Her rosy lips fell open on a breath as her warmth surrounded me. This was home and wholeness.

“Stay up so I can see all of you, beautiful.”

During our weeks apart, something was missing, and it clicked into place as she moved above me, sighing, love simmering in her eyes.

“Does that feel good, baby?”

“Yes, Lucas, yes.”

Her head fell back as she propped her hands on my chest and rode me. Her breath panted, and her walls squeezed me in an excruciating rhythm. I wanted to make it last, but the vision of her above me, taking her pleasure, was better than any damn dream. Her hair wild around her face, her tits rising and falling with her panting, and her taste on my tongue.

The only sound was our breath and the hum of the jet’s engines. Her eyes were deep and soulful. “I love you, Lucas, I love you.” I loved her back.

Our movements became jarring and intense as she met my thrusts, and then she let go, gripping me, and pulsing against me, so I joined her in release.

As our breathing settled, I pulled her to my side and curled myself around her.

“I thought I likedyes, Lucas, yes, but I think I like the love version more.”

“I love you, Lucas.”

“I love you back, Jo.”

I pulled the rumpled sheet and blanket over us, and we lay like that for a few moments. Both of us soaking in the sensation of loving and being loved.

“Your fantasy was to make my dream come true?” I asked.

“Yes.”

“Good, then you understand why my fantasy is to make your dreams come true. You can’t afford Perry Harbor on your own, so move in with me. Let me be the one who helps, the one you lean on, the one you need. You are so strong. You don’t need anyone. Let yourself need me, Jo. I want to be that guy.”

“God, Lucas, I do need you.” She let out a sigh. “So much, it scares me. I tried to do it on my own. But I can’t. The way you look at me, cooking with you, laughing with you, that’s my dream. I can’t do it without you.”

I nuzzled her neck. “Then we’ll do it together.”

JO

“You’resure you don’t need the money, Sammy Jo?” Daddy’s voice boomed through the speaker on my phone as I walked toward the house where I fell in love.

“Thanks, Daddy. I’m sure. The royalties from the cookbook were more than expected, which gives me some cushion. I’m still making it on my own after all, well, mostly on my own. I’ll let you know if things change.”

“You won’t need it,” Lucas mouthed with a pointed look as he passed by on his way back to the moving van.

“You’re not being stubborn now?” Dad asked.

I stepped across the threshold and glanced around at my new home.
