Our meeting should’ve started ten minutes ago, and there’s still no sign of her. I sit in her chair and rest my feet on her desk, leaning back with my arms behind my head. Damn, this is more comfortable than I thought.

I close my eyes and enjoy the peaceand quiet.

“What in the hell do you think you’re doing?”

My eyes snap open, the quiet instantly ruined when they land directly on her. Fuck, how can I hate her and want to fuck her all at the same time?

She looks good, damn good, in a tight-fitting dress that accentuates all her curves. The red color on her pops, and damn, does she have legs for days, made more noticeable by her sexy black high heels.

If it wasn’t for the look on her face, I’d bend her over right now and fuck the ever-living shit out of her. Too fucking bad she looks like she wants to kill me in a sort ofslow, painfulway that she’d enjoy way too much.

I award her with the smirk she loves so much, loving the way her eyes narrow and darken at my expression. “Seeing as you were taking your sweet time arriving this morning, I figured why not get comfortable while I wait?”

Neveah walks to the desk, stopping when she gets in front of it. Her bag drops to the floor, and she places her coffee down on the desk. “Funny, we have an employee lounge for that.”

“Yeah, your assistant told me, but I said I’d rather wait for you in here.” I lift my feet off the desk and place them on the floor while sitting up straighter in her chair. “Hope you don’t mind.” I wink, and she rolls her eyes in response.

“I do, but I’ll let it slide this time. Next time, wait for me in the lounge.”

“Yes, boss lady.” I grin while saying her nickname, knowing it goes up her ass sideways. I stand from her chair and move out of the way, giving her some space, but not nearly enough. It’s fun getting her all worked up, and damn, does she make it easy.Too easy.

“Stop calling me that. Ready to get started?” She brushes against me before she takes her place behind her desk. The sensation from her touch runs up and down my arm, but I ignore it. I can’t help but wonder if she felt it too. She must’ve.

Taking a seat on the other side of her desk, I watch her, lost in the feel and smell of her.

She places her bag next to her before pulling out a pad of paper and a pen.

“Did you enjoy your weekend?” I smile sweetly. Did she think about me nonstop the way I did about her? After failing to ignore my thoughts, I gave in this morning in the shower, getting myself off to the thought of her bent over this very desk. My eyes drop to the shiny wood, and my dick stirs again as the fantasy takes over in my mind.

“I did, thanks. So let’s get started with the basics and how we run our sponsorships here.” Neveah holds her pen above the pad of paper and looks up at me.

Not going to ask me how my weekend was? Okay, then. Off toa great start.

“I enjoyed my weekend too.” I smirk. “But I’m all ears. Give me the lowdown.”

She clicks her tongue and sighs before dropping her pen. She leans her elbows on her desk and wrings her hands together. If I had to guess, I’d say she’s clearly loving my sarcasm. “Luca, I’m doing my best to keep things professional. Can you meet me halfway already?”

I snort and look away, shaking my head. When I look back, her eyes bore into mine, her entire posture stiff. “I think our professional relationship is fine. In fact, it’s perfect.” I wink.

“Perfect? So you kiss every woman you work with?” Neveah sits up farther in her chair and crosses her arms. She looks like a lioness ready to strike at any second. It pisses me off and turns me on all at the same time. “Typical.”

“Typical? What’s that supposed to mean?” I snap.

“You’re exactly who I thought you’d be—a typical arrogant womanizing race car driver.”

I grip the sides of my chair.Did she really just say that?

“Is that what you think?”

She nods once, a scowl planted on her face.

“So, I take it your family knows how you feel? Including your brother? He is a driver on this team, right?”

Neveah’s eyes narrow into tiny slits. “He’s an exception.”

I laugh.Who’s typical now?“Of course, he is. I doubt they’d like to know how you feel about the rest of us. You know it shows when you don’t like your job, right? How can you vouch for us and find the best of us when you hate us so damn much?” I’m rambling, but my blood is like fire running through my veins.

How can she think that?
