I grimace. Even the name makes me sick. “He better not come over here. I made it pretty clear last night to stay the fuck away.”

“Well, well, well. Look who I found, again.” Finn sneers.

His voice goes right through me, setting off a spark of fury I couldn’t stop if I tried. I clench my hands and grit my jaw, bracing myself.

“Back off, bro,” Jay warns.

By now, we’ve backed up and turned, the three of us facing the ten of them. Here we go.

“As far as I know, this is public property.” Finn smirks, and I want to punch his ugly face.

He’s tormented me enough growing up, the evil fucker he is. I thought stepbrothers were supposed to try to get along and become family. But as soon as his father married my mother, he turned into a fucking menacing asshole. “Just go before you regret being here.”

Finn laughs the rest of his posse following suit. I clamp my teeth down, my blood boiling. Every thought inside me says fight.

“Addi? Addi Rayon? What are you doing here?” Finn asks, and my blood boils when I turn to see Addi standing back up on the shore. What? How in the fuck?

Addi doesn’t say anything only stares at me.

“How do you know Addi?” I grunt at Finn, stepping forward. Brock has to grab my arm to pull me back.

He smirks. “I fucked her for two years.”

I feel as if I’ve been hit with a baseball bat. I falter, unsure I heard him correctly. “Wait, what?”

“Oh, she didn’t tell you? Yah, we dated in New York City. She was head over heels for me, but she didn’t do it for me.”

Why must this guy fuck up every part of my life? He’s fucked Addi and tainted her with his evilness. And Addi never once thought to tell me?

“Relax, Cole,” Brock whispers in my ear, his hand on my shoulder. “Maybe Addi didn’t know.”

Addi rounds the corner, coming to stand between Finn and me. Her eyes are wet and wide open, her chest moving up and down quickly, her hair wild. “Cole, I can explain. I didn’t know …”

Finn cuts her off. “What’s wrong? Ohhh shit, wait!” Finn cackles. “You two are together now? Wow, that’s rich. It makes sense now why Cole’s upset. He can’t handle the fact that we’ve both fucked you. We’ve both pounded our cocks into you, and that’s what Cole can’t stand.”

I go to lunge for him, but both Jay and Brock hold me back. “Let me go,” I grumble, but they don’t.

“Stop, Finn. There’s no need,” Addi says.

“Glad to see you finally got over me.” Finn smirks. “I’m surprised you never told Cole all about us.”

“There was no need,” Addi snaps.

“Yeah, no one will ever be as good as me.” Finn glares at Cole, yet still talks to me. “Did Cole tell you how he killed his girlfriend?”

He didn’t just go there. He really didn’t just fucking go there.

I rip myself away from Brock and Jay and tackle Finn, unable to control myself. I slam a few punches into his face before I’m pulled off him, my fists flying every which way.

“I didn’t fucking kill her!” I scream as Finn’s friends hold him back.

“Calm down, man. He’s not worth it,” Brock tells me, but it’s no use. I’m too far gone.

“Get the fuck out of here!” Jay yells, and the two of them walk me back to the shop, afraid to let me go. Addi. Where’d she go?

I look around, but she’s gone. Fuck.

“Get in the shop and calm down. Jay and I will finish your lesson,” Brock instructs, practically pushing me in the door.
