Dominated yet worshiped.

They came as one, Conner moaning beneath her, his face buried between her breasts, Oliver behind her, his fingers gouging into her ass, and William down her throat, his hands buried in her hair to hold her in place until he unloaded every delicious drop.

And Sabrina? She’d never come so hard in her life, and never at the hands of anyone but herself, and all she could think was William was lucky she didn’t bite his dick off in the process, because she was shattered.

Untangling themselves, they each dropped down onto their respective parts of the bed and lay panting from exertion, their bodies covered in a sheen of perspiration and bodily fluids. Sabrina felt well-used and exhausted, as if she’d run a marathon.

“We should do that again sometime,” William panted, and they all puffed out a labored laugh.

“I think I’m out of commission.” Sabrina could already feel the aches setting in, and she knew come morning, it was going to be difficult, if not impossible, to walk. But wow, she was looking forward to it.

Conner turned his head toward her and expended his last reserves of energy to lean down and peck a kiss to her forehead. “Rest, sweets. We’ve got plenty of time to play together.”

And then they were all lost to sleep, Sabrina wearing a wide smile that was sure to stay rooted in place for days to come.

Chapter Fourteen

The weekend moved slowly. Or rather, Sabrina did. She was most definitely sore in all the right places, each step she took around her apartment reminding her of what she’d done and with whom on Friday night.

She should be ashamed of herself. That’s what “normal” society would say, at least. That she was being a whore, having sex with three men. Three men who werebrothers. Three men who were her business partners. She was playing a dangerous game, they would also say. That she was playing with fire and bound to get burned. That she was stupid for even considering mixing business with pleasure because it never worked out well.

They were probably right. Maybe she was a floozy, someone with low morals and questionable values, someone who deserved to get what was coming to her because she was making bad decisions based on her libido.

But Sabrina didn’t feel that way. In her gut, she didn’t feel like she was making a mistake. In fact, it felt right…natural somehow. As if they had engaged in the most normal activity together. The guys certainly didn’t shy away from it, and in turn, they made her feel comfortable for it too.

Did that mean she would shout it to the world? Hell, no. She wasn’t that stupid. She knew what the world would think, what they would say. The whispers would plague the office, whirl like a tornado through her social circles, and when it inevitably reached her parents, she would face a wrath unlike any she’d ever known.

She had taken a huge risk doing what she did, but Sabrina wasn’t exactly sorry for it. No, she was looking forward to the next time and finding out what other positions they could get caught up in, what heights they could take her to. Experiencing what she had, she wasn’t eager or inclined to give it up when she’d only just begun. Hell, she was considering tearing up that stupid contract, now that she’d jumped into the deep end.

As Sunday morning crept along into evening, she exhausted her options to keep busy, cleaning the apartment from top to bottom, which hardly took any time at all, since she was single and generally tidy in the first place. The only “mess” that was created was in the form of Binx’s fur and bits of stray litter from his box, but even that wasn’t enough to warrant calling anything truly messy. But she managed to get a few things in order that needed it, and all in an effort to chase away the sudden and inexplicable loneliness that had dogged her from the moment Conner, William, and Oliver left the previous morning.

Conner had a business thing to tend to, which was understandable, but the other two didn’t cite anything pressing going on, and it left her wondering more than she should what they were up to if they weren’t with her. Did they have other women on the side?

She immediately shook that thought away. It was just insecurity speaking, and Sabrina didn’t want to bethatwoman. The one who ruined a chance at something good because she was too caught up in what-ifs to enjoy and appreciate what was right in front of her. The best policy, she felt, was to always approach a situation and especially a new relationship with a clean slate. Bringing old baggage just tainted what could turn out to be something great, like shooting yourself in the foot right before a big race. It was senseless and counterintuitive.

But what Sabrina really didn’t like was the person she was turning into in such a short amount of time. She didn’t want to be that desperate, needy person. Not when she’d spent the majority of her adult life being the total opposite. So she brushed away any pressing concerns and baseless worries and asked herself what it was she did to occupy her time before the Hargreaves came barreling into her life.

The answer was mundane but had always proved satisfying. She strode to the bookshelf that framed in the fireplace and selected a copy ofPride and Prejudicethat her mother had gifted her when she turned sixteen, a third edition, not quite mint, but close enough. After her first read of it, she’d cherished the piece of history, but no matter how careful she was with the tome, there was no denying that the years had begun taking their toll. Her love for the book was such that she used to read it several times a year. Now she restricted herself to once a year, often cycling out her reading materials in favor of new releases of romance or other older novels that still held up against the test of time, likeMy Cousin Rachel, another personal favorite.

Today, she was content with revisiting her old friend, and she did so with a plate of cheese and crackers and a cup of hot tea, sweetened with just a touch of honey and a splash of milk. Curling up on an old, overstuffed chair that sat perched in front of the tall bank of windows overlooking the cityscape, she drew the hunter-green, fringed throw blanket she kept draped across the back over her lap and settled in for an evening of polite romance and colorful language that tantalized her senses almost as good as the sex she missed.

Before she knew it, Sabrina was halfway through the book and it was nearly midnight.

“Damn,” she hissed to herself, and with a resigned sigh, she stuffed the well-worn bookmark she always kept handy into the crease of the pages and closed the book.

If only she didn’t have to work in the morning. She’d much rather laze around all night reading than prepare for the drudgery of the office in a few short hours. But she already knew from experience that if she called off or just didn’t show, the Hargreaves would undoubtedly show up on her doorstep demanding answers. Despite the likelihood that they would probably now fall into bed together for a repeat performance that she more than welcomed, Sabrina succumbed to the responsible side of herself that knew she needed to get some rest so she could get up in the morning. After all, money didn’t grow on trees, and she had to make plenty of it to pay the bills she’d accumulated over the years.

Adulthood sucked sometimes.

No amount of coffee could chase away the sleepy feeling Sabrina had weighing her down. It was a like a fogbank clouding her senses, making everything she did a chore. She couldn’t think clearly and she was slow to react on everything. The caffeine boost simply wasn’t working.

“Can I get you an espresso?” Shawna offered when she spotted Sabrina dragging ass in the break room, while doctoring yet another cup of so-far-useless coffee.

It took Sabrina entirely too long to form a coherent response, and even then, it amounted to, “Hmm? Oh, uh…uh-uh.” She held up her mug and formed a half-hearted smile, as if to communicate that she was good with what she had and not to worry about a thing.

But Shawna was right to worry. Sabrina had a full workload today, but thankfully it was mostly paperwork she’d been neglecting for the last couple of weeks and she would be in her office most of the day, not interacting with humankind, and therefore, not making a giant ass of herself.
