“I think our first baby will be a boy,” Ashton says, kissing a line down my neck, making me shiver. “Most definitely.”

“I think it will be a girl,” Sindri says, his arm around me. “I’m sure of it.”

“I think it would be twins,” Emrys says in my ear, his muscular legs on either side of me, his solid chest against my back.

“Why stop at twins?” Jason grins, patting Ashton’s black hair like you’d pet a cat. “We wolves have fruitful loins.”

“You what?” Ashton chokes on laughter as he lifts his head.

“Just saying. We have litters. A pup for each one to hold. Sounds perfect to me!”

“Guys…” I’m shaking with laughter. “I shouldn’t have told you what my dad said. You’re all terrible.”

“Why? Is it so hard to believe we might want a family with you?” Jax shrugs his broad shoulders and his eyes turn soft. “One or more babies, wolves or fae or vamps or demons, we’ll love them. And if no babies come, that’s fine too because we have each other, don’t we?”

“Aw shucks…” I feel my eyes growing hot. “You guys mean it?”

“Mean it?” Jax huffs. “We want you for life, girl. We want everything with you.”

“It’s just… hard sometimes to believe that we’re here, together,” I whisper. “That this is for real.”

“This is real, Almaya,” Sindri breathes. “What we have is forever.”

“You’re young,” I whisper. “Still at school. Still with so much to clear up with your pasts and your families. You have priorities, you—”

“You are our priority,” Emrys breathes and lightly bites my ear. “This thing between us is our priority.”

“And there isn’t any hurry.” Ashton smooths my hair back from my face, grips my chin, and turns my head so he can meet my gaze. “We just want to start, you know… practicing. Babymaking is hard work. Takes skills.”

I snicker.

“You’ve been through a lot, too,” he goes on, “and are still coming to terms with being a witch and a Queen and you have so many plans. But we are in for the long haul, you know?”

I nod. “I know. I still wouldn’t change this, with you, for the world.”

They all grin and high-five each other. I stare at them.

“We had to ask,” Emrys explains. “If you felt the same way.”

“You guys… sat and talked about having babies with me?” I have a lump in my throat. God, these boys… “Are you serious?”

“We wanted to be on the same page before talking to you,” Jax says. “And it’s not about the babies. It’s about being with you. It’s about how much we want you. About going steady. And yeah, about how serious we are about this.”

I bite my lip. “I didn’t mean…”

“And when you feel the time is right, after we finish the Academy and get a place of our own, perhaps… then we could have children and… And raise her, or him, or them with love and gentleness, unlike how we were raised. You will be kind to our children, just like you’re kind to us and…” Jason’s voice kind of hitches and I pull him to me, my eyes filling up all over again.

Holy crap, these boys… I didn’t realize this was so important to them, this affirmation, this promise, this dream of the future. But of course it is. The thought of having a family with them almost bowls me over. The thought that they sat and talked about it, that they are so sure…

“We’ll be great parents when the time comes,” I tell them. “Come here.”

They all crowd around me, arms going over my shoulders, around my waist, over my legs. I hug them all to me, so grateful for having them.

“You’re not freaked out?” Jason whispers. “Are we getting too serious too soon?”
