Testing my patience, Lauren rolls her eyes.

She’s doing it for attention. She’s become a professional over the last six months of thinking she can call my bluff.

My cock threatens to thicken, giving a little kick in my jeans.

“You think I’m playing,” I warn. “I don’t care who—”

I snap my jaw closed, drawing a tiny chuckle from her when the door opens after a quick knock.

“Good to see you two again,” the doctor says when she enters.

Lauren smiles at her, and it’s not one of the fake ones she struggles through in public these days.

“I wanted to start the visit with your test results.”

Dr. Taylor hands each of us a piece of paper, and we each studiously look down at the results.

I smile when I see my results, looking up at Lauren to find the same look on her face.

Nothing would change for us no matter what the results were, but I know she was worried about the health of the baby if the STD panel came back with different results.

She’s felt guilt for a while about what she put her body through and what that could mean for our unborn child.

“We’re clear?” Lauren asks.

“A hundred percent,” Dr. Taylor confirms. “The baby is healthy.”

“Our son,” I clarify, bringing a grin to the doctor’s face.

“The baby,” she counters.

Lauren chuckles again. She didn’t want to know the sex of the baby, but it hasn’t stopped me from trying to get the doctor to slip since our twenty-week ultrasound.

We work through scheduling the next appointment before the doctor starts asking the hard questions.

“Have you been to one of the meetings?”

Lauren holds her head high, refusing to let the guilt from not going to one of the support group meetings that were recommended after she was blatantly honest with the doctor, during her first appointment win.

“I made it to the parking lot,” Lauren answers.

“That’s a start,” Dr. Taylor commends.

The woman has never judged her or our lifestyle when uncomfortable questions were asked.

Lauren explained what she considered selfish thoughts about still liking things rough where sex was concerned.

“What about the dizziness?” Lauren asks.

Dr. Taylor gives her a knowing look that makes me wonder just what this woman is into that keeps her from questioning what we like.

“No more prolonged time lying flat on your back. The baby’s weight has gotten to the point that he’s pressing against something to cause it.”

“He’s getting pretty big, huh?”

Lauren rolls her eyes, but Dr. Taylor doesn’t fall for my trick.

“I can direct you to a website for other positions that won’t cause—”
