“Momma.” Regina comes over with a pout.

“Yes my most favouritest Regina?” I say, patting the ground beside me.

“Momma!” Regina giggles. “I’m your only Regina!”

“Oh, that’s right.” I kiss the top of her head. “Doesn’t change the fact that you’re my favourite. What did you need, hun?”

“Are you going to throw up my baby siblings soon? I would like to play with them,” Regina says, patting my belly and kissing when she feels a kick.

“Throw them up? Where did you get that idea?” I try my hardest to hold back a laugh. By the looks of it, my Wilds are trying to do that same thing. We’re all waiting intently for her answer.

“Well, they’re in your belly and when you need to get something out you throwed it up or poop it out. Are you going to poop out the babies?” Regina looks worried about the pooping concept.

We all erupt into laughter at Regina’s look of horror. I don’t know exactly how to explain how giving birth works. I open my mouth to respond when a sudden burst of wetness fills my panties. My face goes pale as I realize what just happened.

“Um, guys!” I shout in panic. “We need to go to the hospital now.”

“You are having contractions?” Mason asks, rushing over to my side.

“One better,” I joke. “My water just broke.”

“Oh, shit!” Tuck yells, jumping up to pack everything up. “Move your asses guys!”

“Calm down, Tuck! Also, Regina is still here,” Colt scolds him. “Watch your language. We don’t need to explain her new vocabulary to the preschool teacher. We already have to explain five dads.”

Archer and Grayson take Regina back to the house while Tuck, Colt and Mace all pack me up into the car. Our overnight bags are all in the car already since I’m so close to my due date. Mason calls our midwife while we’re in the car while Colt drives us. I spend the drive calming Tuck down while also trying to breathe through my new, stronger contractions.

We get to the hospital, all of us rushing out. Tuck gets me in a wheelchair while Mason and Colt get us signed in. We’ve been here once before for this and it was just as hectic as this time. The exception was that all five of my husbands were here for that one. Talk about a lot of funny looks. This time it’s less daddies and more babies!

“Are you ready to have these babies, Brayleigh?” My midwife asks as she walks in.

“Let's do this,” I answer, squeezing my men’s hands as we head up to the room.

This life isn’t what most people imagine but it’s perfect for us. That summer five years ago changed my life in so many ways, most of them for the better. My Wilds have changed me as well. This life of ours is an adventure and I’m loving every single second of it.

Well, maybe not the labour and delivery. This shit hurts.
