“Cullen did this for you, Jaci,” Maz says. “Go enjoy it. I’ll be fine with Birdie.”

Maz hooks her arm into Birdie’s and pulls her away.

Birdie lets out a yell.

She’s already feeling good from thezazas.

So it’s definitely a good thing that Maz is going to keep an eye on her.

Maz and Birdie disappear.

Now I’m standing in a mostly dark alley.

Alone.

A side door to the building opens.

When I see Cullen, I sigh with relief.

I really don’t like how jumpy I am anymore.

“Ready, love?” Cullen asks me.

“I’m ready,” I say. “I guess we go to the front and get in line?”

“No,” he says. “I just came from inside.”

“Oh. Right. Sorry. Did you save us a spot or something?”

“I don’t think you’re understanding, Jaci,” Cullen whispers.

“Understanding what?”

“Pawn Charm,” he says. “I own the label they record for.”

“What?”

Cullen winks.“Not all mafia business is corrupt, love.”

Okay, now I’m blown away.

Cullen owns the label thatPawn Charmrecords for.

Which means we’re right next to the stage.

The band begins to walk right past me, starting with the bassist, Ernie.

When I see Ledo approaching, I swoon.

I grab Cullen’s hand extra tight and smile even bigger at him.

Cullen leans toward me. “Don’t worry, love, you’ll get to meet them.”

I let out a weird yell.

I tell myself to calm the hell down.

Then I see Tyler and Aidley.
