Rosa moves quicker though.
She turns and somehow she does something with her right hand and I hear a smallclicksound.
The blade of a knife appears and Rosa moves closer to the woman.
“Talk to me and my friend like that again and I’ll move forward,” Rosa says. “I’ll move forward with this knife and cut you cunt to tits.”
The woman’s face turns white and she starts to shake.
A few other people look at Rosa and me.
I am anHeir. I go toDSC. I have some kind of protections there.
But here? Off campus? In this place?
With someone like Rosa?
“Shit,” I whisper.
I place my hands to Rosa’s and move her out of the way.
“We’re going to take a walk,” I say to the woman. “We’ll be back. And you better be gone from here. And if you say a word to anyone about this… getting cut will be the least of your problems. And for your entire family.”
I don’t know the woman.
I throw the family comment in there for good measure.
But it hits the target.
The woman stiffens and nods.
I then hurry and push Rosa out the side door of the coffeehouse.
I kind of feel like yelling at her.
Instead I catch myself smiling.
Laughing!
I hold her right shoulder as I laugh.
“You’re laughing?” Rosa asks.
“You’re a wild one, Rosa,” I say. “I like that about you. You were going to stab that woman.”
“I was going to cut her,” she says. “Fuck her saying something to us. To you.”
