He plops down on the bed next to me.

Together, we eat.

He would always order hamburgers for him and cheeseburgers for me.

Besides the kidnapping thing and the bad boy thing and the cheating thing and everything else Seth does that makes him horrible, he’s not that bad of a guy.

It’s like Archer.

Rough around the edges.

Same with Cullen.

He’s beautiful on the outside but dark on the inside.

Everyone has a dark side though.

“Why are you staring at me, Jaci?” Seth asks.

“Just trying to figure this out. This is such a big mistake, Seth. If you let me go right now I can go back toDSCand play it off. I can tell everyone I went to see a friend. That the classes were overwhelming.”

“Not going to happen,” he says.

“You realize besides Archer and Cullen… I’m not showing up to my classes. Rumors are going to spread.”

Cullen stands up. “I’m going to finish my burger upstairs.”

“Oh, did I hit a nerve?” I ask. “Are you afraid?”

Seth leans down toward me.

“You’ve got ketchup on the corner of your mouth,” I say.

“Want to lick it off?”

“No.”

Seth swipes his tongue seductively from one corner of his mouth to the other.

He leans in to try and kiss me.

I simply just turn my head.

He laughs and takes the hint.

The second he’s upstairs, I take one last bite of my cheeseburger and toss it aside.

I pull the sheets away from the end of the bed and I take a deep breath.

“This is it, Jaci,” I whisper. “This is fucking it.”

I reach for the cuffs and then the metal post that has started to bend.

I grit my teeth and I pull.

The bed creaks and moves.

I pull harder.
