Now I look at him.

With total disgust.

“What did you just say to me?”

He put his arm across the back of my seat. “Come on, Jaci. A little road action is fun. This drive is a little boring right now. Put your mouth to good use.”

“You’re a fucking scumbag, Seth,” I say.

“Am I? I’ve seen the way you’ve been looking at me. You’re scared but you’re turned on. You like this stuff, Jaci. You like the bad stuff. I always knew it. Too bad you couldn’t keep me happy.”

“Really? That’s why you did what you did to me? Because I wouldn’t suck your dick while you were driving?”

“That’s one of many things you wouldn’t do,” he says with a smile. “But that’s all in the past. Now, Jaci, I can’t wait to fuck you again.”

“How do you have this much confidence, Seth? Do you realize where you’re going?DSC. This isn’t a joke. This isn’t some street thing. This is serious stuff. These people are all connected. You’re acting like…” I shake my head. “What do you know? What do you have to keep yourself alive?”

“I have you,” he says. “That’s all I need to keep myself alive right now.”

“You don’t have me, Seth. The second we get toDSC, I’m gone. I hope you know that.”

“Jaci, if you think you’re going to get out of this car and start yelling for help, you’re wrong. If you even think about walking away from me, all hell will break loose. Don’t even ask me what that means. If you want to take that chance, go for it.”

“And here I was going to tell you to pull over,” I say. “Or turn around.”

“Find a dark spot to park so we can fuck?” Seth asks.

“No. I want to explain to you about Cullen and Archer. About where you’re taking us. But you don’t seem to give a damn. So go for it, Seth. And you know what? I swear I won’t run from you. I’ll walk side by side. But you’re going to do something for me first.”

Seth touches my hair. “You want me to do the tongue thing?”

The tongue thing.

Okay, that makes me curl my toes.

Seth has this thing he does with his tongue. It’s when he-

“No thanks,” I say out loud. “Just keep driving. It’s your funeral.”

“Or maybe it’s yours, Jaci,” Seth says. “Maybe I’ve cut some deal with the mafia guys and I’m going to walk away with some cash and you’re going down. And not the kind of going down I want you to do right now.”

I know Seth is just fucking with my head.

But I do think about Cullen and Archer.

Their families.

The long standing war there.

I think about my family.

Even though I don’t know much about my family, I know that someone in my family killed Archer’s uncle. That’s why Archer chose to be aSavage.

As far as Cullen’s family goes…

I rub my forehead.

This is a total joke now.
