Until Archer is done with me.
He curls his fingers and takes his hand from the front of my pajamas.
He pulls my hoodie down, covering my right breast.
I finally give up and sit down on the bed.
Archer crouches in front of me and touches my right hand.
He slowly pulls the knife from my hand.
I open my fingers, giving him the knife back.
I can’t believe I had just been holding that knife.
I wonder if that was his way of giving me a chance to kill him before he kills me…
Too late now.
Archer stands back up and walks to the bedroom door.
He unlocks the door and leaves the bedroom.
I grab for the covers and feel my body still gently pulsing.
Then something interesting yet terrible happens.
I suddenly no longer think about Cullen or Archer.
I suddenly have the urge to check on Seth.
Chapter 16
Iput socks and shoes on and leave the bedroom.
When I get to the top of the stairs, I see Cullen and Archer standing at the bottom.
Obviously waiting for me.
Both of them obviously knowing what my plans are right now.
I don’t bother saying a word as I walk down the stairs.
Then Cullen and Archer stand almost shoulder to shoulder, blocking my path.
The first thing I do is take a deep breath.
I picture them touching me.
The way Cullen gently slides his hand into my towel, finding my body for himself. The way his long fingers thrust deep into me. The way he curls his fingers, leaving me just…ahh.
Gentle yet protective.
That’s Cullen.
Then there’s Archer.
No fear in the world.
