The guy who took myv-cardis the same guy who kidnapped me.

I don’t know why he kidnapped me.

He and his family are like mafia but far from it.

They’re more like outlaws.

Living from the streets. Bikers. All kinds of crazy stuff like that.

Seth was my first love.

The first guy who made me feel like I was floating.

The epitome of thebad boything and he loved every second of it.

I didn’t have anyone to tell me to be smarter than to get involved with Seth.

But I was smart enough to walk away when I needed to.

That’s a whole other story that doesn’t matter right now.

What matters right now is that I’m handcuffed to Seth’s bed in the basement of his house.

He walks to the bed and stands in front of me.

Staring down at me.

He reaches down and touches under my chin.

I shake his touch away and he laughs.

“You know, I’ve missed you, Jaci,” he whispers.

“You could have just called or texted,” I say. “Kidnapping is just so…blah.”

“Look at you,” he says. “Trying to be calm and talk your way out of this. You’ve changed, Jaci. They’ve changed you over there.”

“Over where?” I ask.

“DSC,” he says.

“Yeah, well, that’s how things go,” I say. “Things change. People change. It happens. I didn’t realize you were in the business of kidnapping.”

“Hey,” he says. “Things change…”

“Seth, can we actually talk about this?” I ask. “Like for real here.”

“Why don’t you get naked, Jaci?” Seth asks. “So I can see what I’ve been missing. I’m sure you’ve changed some since the last time…”

“Not really,” I say. “Unless you count the full body tattoo. I keep it hidden under my shirt. Just in case I need to go to a job interview.”

Seth smiles.

He turns and sits next to me on the bed.

“We had some good memories down here,” he whispers.

“I remember,” I say. “Then you turned into an asshole.”
