Page 111 of Craving Their Mate

One month later

“Hold the camera higher,” Paris said. She still couldn’t believe Grayson and Rider had surprised her by flying all three of them to Paris, France!

“Lean in closer. I’m not used to doing selfies,” Rider said.

Grayson grabbed it from him and grinned. “You are useless.”

“Useless in picture taking maybe. You still haven’t agreed to go wolf to wolf with me,” Rider challenged.

“In due time. You wouldn't want me to have scratches all over my body and need Paris to nurse me back to life, would you?”

Rider held up a finger. “It’s not like I’d kill you. Just so you know, I could though.”

Grayson laughed and then held up the camera with the Eiffel Tower in the background and clicked.

“Let me see.” Every sight and sound was exciting. Turned out Grayson had traveled extensively, but Rider hadn’t been to too many places. She liked that they could explore together.

Grayson showed her the image. “I need to send this to my mom," Paris said. "She’ll be thrilled that at least one of us made it here.”

“Come on. We don’t want to miss the river boat tour on the Seine,” Rider said.

She’d been looking forward to it. “Absolutely not. It will be the highlight of the trip.”

They hailed a cab and arrived at the boat just in time to get on. Good thing they had reservations since the cruise was booked for tonight.

They were shown to their table, which was pressed up against the large picture window. It was really cool that every seat had a great view of the landscape. During the trip, dinner would be served, and then there would be dancing. Afterward, the life-changing event would occur.

For some reason, Paris had wanted to wait until she was in Paris to officially become their mate. Jenna had assured her that the bite wouldn’t hurt, but it would be a signal that they were bonded for life—and Paris couldn’t wait.

Rider looked around. “I still can’t believe I’m here—with both of you, no less.”

“Rider and I had a two-year blip in our friendship, but it all worked out in the end,” Grayson said.

The men had shared their history with her, and it was because Grayson had reached out to the general that the three of them ended up together.

More people filled up the tables, and the level of noise increased. The motors revved up, and the scenic cruise down the Seine began.

Paris was mesmerized. She’d studied the local iconic buildings but never thought she’d see them in person. They motored past the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower, which looked amazing all lit up at night.

The waiters came around with flutes of champagne and their salad. It was difficult to eat when all Paris wanted to do was watch the city float by.

Toward the end of the cruise, she spotted something very special. “Look, it’s a miniature of the Statue of Liberty.”

Grayson made her stand so he could take a picture of her with the monument in the background. When they came to the end, the boat turned around.

As they were finishing their meal, the musicians played a little louder, and people moved to the dance floor.

She turned to the men. “Does anyone care to dance with me?”

They both pushed back their chairs so fast, they almost toppled. The men looked at each other. When they didn’t speak, she figured they were trying to figure out who would go first.

Rider grinned and then held out his hand. “I’ll be first.”

She was happy they were able to compromise. Surprisingly, Rider was a good dancer. He was light on his feet and actually knew how to hold her.

He pressed his face to hers. “I can’t wait until we dock.”

“You’re not enjoying this trip down the Seine?”
