“You’ll have to convince me.” It was nice to flirt again.

“I’m sure I can do that,” Preston said with a grin.

Once they paid, they drove straight to Beth’s place. Ariel had texted her friend to say she needed her things. Beth replied right away saying she’d already packed for her. Now that was a good friend.

After they retrieved Ariel’s suitcase, Benson headed straight home. From the speed with which he drove, he couldn’t wait to arrive.

As soon as she stepped inside, she stilled. Balloons were attached to the dining room chairs and to each of the lamps. “What’s this for?”

“We were hoping we could convince you to come back here,” Benson said. “Preston and I wanted to let you know how special you are to us.”

She was overwhelmed. “Thank you. Growing up, my family wasn’t big into celebrations.”

Benson pulled her into an embrace. “That will change now that you’re with us.”

“Benson,” Preston said. “Before we begin, we have to reveal a few things to Ariel.”

“I forgot. Our mate distracts me too much.” He led her over to the sofa and sat next to her while Preston took the chair across from them.

They spent the next half hour detailing their abilities, such as how fast they could heal. “I know you’ve noticed our eyes sometime change color.”

“Yes, but I thought it was a trick of the light.”

“Actually, when we become too excited our eyes glow yellow,” Preston said. “You’ve felt how sharp my teeth become.”

“Like when you bit me that time. I remember.”

“I’m sorry. It’s hard to control our reactions. And if you see excessive hair, just remember you caused it.”

“I’m surprised I haven’t heard other humans comment on this,” she said.

“It only happens when we are with our mate,” Preston said.

“Oh.”

“Do you have any more questions?” Benson asked.

She probably should ask about a lot of things, but right now it was as if the men were sending out an erotic signal, drawing her in. “No.”

“Benson, you forgot the most important part,” Preston said.

He looked over at his friend, but he didn’t say anything.

“Guys. What are you doing?” she asked.

Benson turned back to her. “Sorry. We forgot a few things. One is that we can use telepathy to communicate. And bywe, I mean between men only, and only those close to us.”

“I’ve seen you stare at each other and always wondered what was going on,” she said.

Both men nodded. “There’s one more thing,” Preston said.

“Which is?” Her head was already swimming, trying to retain all of this crazy new information.

Preston glanced at Benson and then back at her. “There is a ritual that all werewolves perform with their mate. Once done, it can’t be undone.”

“What my friend is trying to say is that it’s like a werewolf marriage ceremony that’s very binding.”

Marriage? Ariel had dreamed of being married to them, but she'd never thought they’d asked her. When she found out about their animal side, she thought it wouldn’t be possible. “What is this ritual?”
