DaddyB: That question right there is the reason. Baby girl, I have spent the past few weeks obsessed with you. I’m addicted to hearing your voice, hearing about your day, and seeing that sexy as fuck body of yours.

My chest compresses with the realization that his obsession should scare me, but it doesn’t. It turns me on.

DaddyB: I can’t go another second without feeling you under me. I can’t go another second without hearing those sinful sounds you make when you come in person. I need it, baby girl. Please.

Before I second-guess myself, I begin to type, knowing everything will change after this.

SexKitten34: Okay

The cool night air brushes over my bare legs as I stand in front of Spitfire, the gentlemen’s bar that sits right smack in the middle of downtown. The second Dianne told me that was where we were meeting, I knew this man had money because this place is known to those who can’t get in as pretentious and not worth the hassle. But now that I’m seconds away from stepping through those heavy mahogany doors, about to meet the man who paid six figures for a week of my time, I can’t help the way my fingers pull at my dress. When I moved out of my dorm, I got rid of almost all my clothes, needing the space for everything else. I kept one dress that I’m sure could be described by most as slutty, but right now, it’s giving me the confidence needed to walk into this place.

Right before I open the heavy doors, I check my phone only to see another message waiting.

DaddyB: I’m here. Go to the bar and ask for a vodka cranberry on the rocks, and the bartender will know to bring you to me.

My heart rate picks up, and I take a breath as my fingers wrap around the gold handle, pulling until a wave of warmth hits my face. The second I step inside, I know I’m in way over my head. There is gold everywhere, wealth spilling over every surface. I mean even the wallpaper looks like it’s made of silk. I shake the uncertainty from my limbs and make my way into the bar area, only seeing a smattering of men around the room. I eye a few of them, wondering which one is mine, but before I can dwell on it, my eyes catch those of the bartender.

“What can I get you?” he asks, the smile filling his face as I take him in. He looks too old to work here yet seems to fit right in. His eyes soften, and I instantly feel at ease, wondering how he does that.

“Vodka cranberry on the rocks, please.” Realization dawns, and his face sombers with a nod. He walks to the end of the bar and motions for me to follow. I furrow my brow, wondering where he’s taking me as we walk down a long, dark hallway. Just as I open my mouth to ask where we’re going, he stops in front of a black door, knocks three times, and waits.

“Come in,” a voice says from behind the door, and my eyes flick to the bartender.

“Go on in. He’s waiting.” With that, he leaves me standing there alone, wondering what I’ve gotten myself into and who the fuck is on the other side of this door. I close my eyes, reminding myself that it will help me achieve my dream and to just jump in with both feet. So I do just that, my fingers wrapping around the gold doorknob and twisting until the door opens. As I step into the room, a familiar scent surrounds me, and my mind races to figure out where I’ve smelled it before.

“Sutton?” My name echoes through the room, shock wracking my body. How the fuck do they know my real name? No one at the agency knows it except Dianne. And as my eyes adjust to the dimly lit room, I take in the man before me and shudder. Because sitting in a green velvet chair is Colton Bishop, and his eyes are murderous.

CHAPTERTWO

“Mr. Bishop?” My voice barely registers as his stare penetrates my body, those dark brown eyes taking in my short skirt, long legs, and ample cleavage. I shake my head, disbelief painting my features as I try to regain my composure.

“What the hell are you doing here, Sutton?” Colton mutters, taking three steps toward me, causing my back to hit the closed door. I open my mouth to say something but then close it. How the hell did this happen? Out of all the people to find me on that site, and it’s my ex’s dad? Fuck my life. “Sutton, answer me,” he demands, my eyes snapping up to his.

“What do you want me to say? It’s not like I knew it was you!” His eyes widen, his fingers raking through his hair, causing my eyes to flash to his arms, where his tattoos peek out beneath his rolled-up sleeves. It’s at that moment I take in the man before me; the mussed hair, scruff peeking over his strong jaw, and the way his button-up white shirt fits him like a glove. I try to ignore the scenes that pop into my head when I see the silk tie lying loose around his neck, causing my palms to sweat and my cheeks to redden.

“God, Sutton, this is bad. Why the fuck are you even on that site?” I roll my eyes, hating his judgmental tone and stopping myself from reminding him just how much he liked me last night.

“Why wereyou?” I say back, and his eyes narrow. “Come on,DaddyB, tell me why you were on that site.” His growl echoes around the room, washing over me as I fight to stay upright. I’ve known this man for over a year. I’ve had fantasies about this man for almost as long, and knowing that I’ve sent him pictures, videos, and sexy messages is almost enough for me to melt right here at his feet.

“Sutton, this is serious. Why the fuck are you selling yourself for money online? And why the fuck would you sign a contract like the one I gave you?” I want to tell him the truth. I want to tell him all the issues I’ve had since I broke up with Zack, but the shame takes over, and I shake my head.

“You know what? I’m done. I don’t need you lecturing me on what I can and can’t do with my own body. If you haven’t noticed, I am an adult and can do whatever the fuck I want.” I turn to leave, my hand wrapping around the gold doorknob just as Colton’s strong fingers grip my elbow to stop me. I don’t turn around. I can’t. I can’t face him knowing what I know now, and it’s better if I just leave before things get worse. But just as I decide to pull away from his grip, he leans down, his lips inches from my ear.

“You think I haven’t noticed that you’re an adult, Sutton? Do you think I haven’t noticed how fucking sexy you are walking in here looking like my own personal wet dream? But you’re my son’s ex-girlfriend. You’re twenty-five years younger than me and—” He doesn’t finish because I can’t take his excuses anymore.

“Well, you didn’t seem to mind the age difference when you didn’t know what my face looked like,” I spew right before opening the door and making my way down the hall and out into the bar. That vodka cranberry sounds amazing, and if I didn’t expect Colton to follow me, I would ask for one. But I hurry outside, that brisk night air hitting me once more as I make my way toward my car.

God, I feel stupid.

It was too perfect. Everything was too good to be true, and now it’s gone. Poof… into thin air. The tears that begin to fall aren’t necessarily about the money but the fact that the dream I saw a glimpse of just days ago has shattered at my feet, and I have no idea how to put it all back together.

“Sutton, wait!” Colton yells from behind me as I keep my head down, ignoring him. “Sutton, please. We need to talk about this.” I spin on my heels as he stops in his tracks, his eyes taking in the tearstained cheeks and puffy eyes.

“What is there to talk about, Colton? Yesterday, you wanted to fuck me; today, you don’t. There’s nothing else to say.” There’s plenty more to say, but I can’t get the words out. I don’t know how to articulate the feelings inside me right now. All I know is that if I don’t leave now, I will crumple to the ground.

“Baby girl, please.” I freeze at the endearment, my eyes closing as the memories of the past few weeks crash through me. “Talk to me.” I shake my head, the embarrassment rising with each passing second.

“No,” I mutter, my voice cracking as I turn and begin to walk away. As soon as I see my car a few feet away, I let out a breath. I rummage through my purse, pull out my keys, and unlock my front door, but the second I open it, it’s slammed shut as Colton’s arms cage me in. “What do you want from me?” I finally look into his eyes and see roaring desire. It takes my breath away, and I don’t know what to do with it.
