“Sorry, too hard?” I ask, and she shakes her head.

“No. You’re doing great,” she mumbles.

If I didn’t know better, I’d think she was in pain because that was definitely a groan not a moan.

After spending an hour massaging, I really want to have a shower with her. I need to have our bodies touching in every way.

“Shower?” I ask.

Sarah nods as I slide off the bed and take her hand and lead her to the bathroom. She walks slowly, and I think she must be worn out. I turn on the water and step under, taking Sarah in with me, and she groans again.

Okay, I think something’s going on.

“Are you okay?” I ask.

“Yeah, it’s nice to have some time to relax in the peacefulness before the crazy starts.”

Instantly, I tense up. “Crazy?” I ask, wondering what she means by that.

“Chris… I’m in labor,” she mumbles as she holds onto me tightly.

And she’s right—the crazy sets in instantly.

Apprehension.

Trepidation.

Panic.

Shit! All the words hit me at once, then my brain kicks into gear.

“Okay, how long have you had contractions?” I ask, trying to work out how much time we have before I need to call our moms.

“It’s fine, babe. It has only been going since dinner. I can see you’re starting to panic. But, let’s have this time together and enjoy this moment, please?” she asks.

Even though every fiber of my being is telling me to get out of the stupid fucking shower and to a hospital.

Apprehension.

Trepidation.

Panic.

Damn! All the words come back, but I know I can’t say no to Sarah. So, I hold on to her tightly as the water flows over both of us while I internally die from anxiety.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Because I didn’t need you panicking unnecessarily, and I wanted my moment of peace and tranquility. It’s the last chance I’ll get for a while.” She steps up and kisses me passionately, so strongly my dick twitches, but then I instantly remember she’s in labor, and it fades quickly.

I lift the loofa from its hook and wash her down—I want her to be as comfortable as possible.

Sarah starts groaning again.

I can’t take the fucking stress anymore. “How are you feeling?” She nods at me while exhaling loudly and says nothing. “Okay, think we need to make that phone call, don’t you?”

Sarah nods as she scrunches her eyes shut tightly, and her hand moves to her stomach.

Crap!
