The dual stimulation sets me off like a rocket. Stars burst behind my eyes as my muscles clamp down and milk Hollis’s length for all that it’s worth. It’s then that I felt his knot building slowly, stretching me further than I’ve been stretched before. Kaedyn’s not a slacker when it comes to the size of his dick. Hollis definitely has him beat in thickness and length. When his knot finally locks fully within me, a second orgasm overtakes me, and he roars his release. He bends forward and sinks his teeth into my shoulders again. The combined pleasure from his bite and his knot. My eyes are blurred, and I feel lightheaded as my heart thunders in my chest as I writhe uncontrollably on him.

Kaedyn’s fingers release my breasts, only to reach up to my neck and play with the edge of his bite that he can see. I feel like my body is floating, and I feel coveted by my mates. It isn’t till Hollis’s jerky movements slow down that I can almost regain my breath. He licks the newly inflicted wound on my shoulder, then kisses his way to my neck and then my cheek. He kisses me deeply and passionately, caressing my face as if I am the greatest treasure in the world to him.

Kaedyn slides out from behind me and then bends over and kisses me on my forehead. He tells me I’m a good girl and then walks off toward the en suite bathroom. I then hear the water running and Kaedyn returns with a washcloth in hand and a towel.

“Up next Hollis, you learn about aftercare,” Kaedyn says, and Hollis reluctantly raises his head to look at his friend. He gives him a nod and then pulls me to cradle in his arms as he sits back on his heels. I slowly feel his knot deflating and when it does, he lifts me up and off him and lays me back down on the bed.

Kaedyn goes into great detail about what’s expected of him to take care of me afterward. He washes my nether regions with care, knowing full well that I’m highly sensitive and a little sore from his intrusion. Once I’m clean to their satisfaction, he pats me dry and then scoops me up and walks me toward the bathroom. Once in the bathroom, I notice Kaedyn has filled the whirlpool tub with bubbles. The three of us slip into the water and I lay cradled across both of their laps. They massage me all over. I’ve never felt so loved and pampered in my entire life as I do right now.

Well, let’s be honest. I was never loved, nor was I ever pampered by anybody. As much as this makes me nervous because it’s not normal for me, it’s nice to actually feel what I’ve been missing out on all my life. Perhaps I finally got lucky, and the stars aligned, and each male has given me what I’ve been missing in their own way. Hollis’s unwavering strength and loyalty. Kaedyn, it’s his patience and affection and his intelligence. I wonder what my next two mates will bring when we leave here in the next few days.

“Not to spoil the mood or anything, guys.” Kaedyn says as he massages the instep on my foot. “We need to figure out which kingdom we’re going to next. I called Flint and said we would go there next.” Hollis pouts like a giant teddy bear.

I can’t help but giggle looking at him. “Do we have to go?” he says semi-childlike as he snuggles me tighter against him. “I don’t wanna leave yet.” He buries his face against my shoulder.

“Guys I get it.” I say to both of them as I reach out and touch Kaedyn with my free hand and grip Hollis’s forearm with the other. “I know you called Flint but…” I leave it hanging in the air. My gut tells me that’s not the wisest decision to make at the moment.

Chapter21

Hollis

I knowwhat Kaedyn says is true and that we have to continue on our path. I also understand Bella needs to complete all the bonds so she can better protect the kingdoms against the threats that are rising against us. No matter how many of the tournaments I’ve gotten to battle in, how many battles I’ve been in, the thought of my mate being ready to go to war churns my stomach. Females are not meant to be warriors, or at least they’ve never been treated as one. They’re not as built as heavy as we are. Their bodies are not meant to endure the pain the same way that we do.

But then I think about how incorrect that statement is. They bring life into this world experiencing pain that no man alive will ever understand. They suffer seasonally with their cycles; yet another pain that we will never understand. And then they have to put up with our stubborn asses. That one I definitely give her major props on. I know I’m difficult to get along with, and I can be brutish. But this right here. I look down at Bella in my arms as she rests her head on my shoulder, closing her eyes slowly while we rest in the tub. This right here was worth every trial and tribulation that I’ve ever been through. The fact that my father stopped the trials after he figured out which female was worthy of me speaks volumes.

After all of Bernie’s attempts at deception to win my favor became clear, there was no need for Bella to compete at that point. The trials are continuing for the females for my brothers, but my part with Bella is over now. Something deep within me is settled after fighting beside her, and now I understand the importance of being fully marked. I also now understand that even though I spent many years of my life being promiscuous, never once has my knot swollen for anyone. Not till today. That tells me just how real this fated mate thing is.

Bella’s breathing is slow and evened out. The goofy look on Kaedyn’s face tells me she’s sleeping in my arms. “Dude, we need to get her out of the water somehow,” Kaedyn says as he tries to figure out how to accomplish that without waking her up.

“We’re going to turn into prunes in here,” I say, trying not to speak loudly, laughing at myself for the statement. I would gladly become a prune a thousand times over just to know that Bella is comfortable and happy.

“Use some of that strength that your Earth Wolves are famous for and get yourself out of the tub with her,” Kaedyn replies, laughing.

His laughter makes Bella stir my arms, and she wraps her arms tightly around my neck, making it much easier for me to get a grip on her to stand. With one arm under her legs, I reach out to Kaedyn. He helps pull me to stand still, cradling my most precious possession in my arms. He stays still, steadying the two of us as we step out of the tub, and then pats Bella dry. Once he’s got most of her dry, I hand her off to him and I continue to dry the other side that was against me. When we’re sure that she’s completely dry and I get a towel around my hips, we go back into my bedroom and tuck her in.

“I need to go speak with my father about where to go to next. Mind staying here bro and watching over our girl?” Kaedyn smiles and then climbs into bed right behind Bella, wrapping his arm around her. She scoots herself back and the deep, content hum of her beast can be heard. I slap on a pair of sweatpants and leave the room. Father is in his study as usual, this time on a call with the other kings. I laugh slightly and just shake my head as I pull the shirt over my head and down into place.

Father motions to the chair next to him and I sit in on the conversation with the other kings. They’re arguing back and forth between the Water Kingdom and the Fire Kingdom, who would be the next best place to visit. “I honestly think this is Bella’s decision, not any of ours. I know Kaedyn already told Flint that we were going there next,” I say with a commanding tone as I make eye contact with King Flint and King Mateo of the Water Kingdom.

“You’re her mate, you need to decide for her,” Flint says with a growl to his voice. And that right there makes my wolf flare to the surface.

“This is exactly why Bella didn’t go to your kingdom second, your blatant disregard and disrespect for her choices. I wouldn’t be surprised when she hears about this, that you’re the last kingdom she visits.” Flint pales as he stares at me, taken aback by what I say to him.

Oh yes, I know about his interference with the games. I know how much he interfered with the first one. Kaedyn and his family were very forthcoming with the information, sharing it with the rest of the heirs. Flint’s own sons are very disappointed in him in how he’s been acting, because they know that if he keeps his antics up, they will lose their spot at Bella’s side. “Forgive me, Prince Hollis,” Flint says venomously as he stares at me.

I look at my father. “I will let you know once the queen wakes up where she desires to go to next, but for now she’s resting.” I don’t give the kings a moment to say anything to me before I stand up and walk away. I catch mom outside of dad’s office and fill her in on everything that’s going on. I tell her we were planning to hit the Fire Kingdom next, regardless of how much of an ass Flint is being. She agrees with our decision because the Fae are becoming more and more difficult to deal with. Bella is going to need at least two powerful mates at her side to withstand any kind of onslaught they may try.

Mother also suggests going to the Water Pack next and hoping that Bella’s mate from there is a healer. That way, no matter what happens with the Fae, at least she’ll have someone there to take care of her and make sure she’s alright. I weigh the options that mom has given me. Logically, it makes more sense to head to the Water Kingdom than the Fire Kingdom. It certainly would not be expected. Like mom said, having a healer in the pack would be extremely beneficial. I tell her to advise dad of the amended travel arrangements and to not mention it to the other kings until we have departed and are most of the way to the Water Kingdom. Mom agrees with me and kisses both my cheeks and sends me back to my mate.

“You’re gonna make a wise king one day, Hollis,” mother says affectionately as she waves goodbye to me, ducking into dad’s office to wait for his call to be over to update him.

Heading back to my room, my slow steps have me looking all over the castle that has been my home since birth. If what Kaedyn told me is true, then I will be with him and Bella, ruling from the Shadow Court when it’s all over. The halls feel different, as if my wolf has resigned itself to the fact that wherever our mate is will be home. The detachment is real, and I don’t feel a thing for my old home. I know my brothers will duke it out for whoever will take my place to be next in line for the throne.

Arriving back in my private quarters, Bella is sitting in the window seat, looking out over the kingdom. Kaedyn is still curled up on the bed in a deep sleep. Bella turns and smiles at me. She crosses the room gracefully and hugs me tightly. Motioning to the bedroom door, she hints at wanting to leave the room. Leading her out of the room and then down the hall to the balcony at the end. Stepping outside, I close the double door behind us. Tilting my head to the side, I wait for Bella to say what she needs to.

“I’m sorry that you are walking away from all of this.” She motions to the landscape behind her and sighs.

Closing the distance, I take her in my arms and hold her to my chest. “I am walking toward my future. One that includes you, Kaedyn, and whomever else you choose.” Resting my head on top of hers, I look over her head at the land of my ancestors. I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t miss the lands and the people.
