Page 66 of Her Elemental Mates

“So, what do you think you’re gonna do, little wolf?” Her sultry tone fills the vault room as she stares at me, still looking down at me as if I am a helpless pup.

Leaning against what’s left of the door frame; I stare at my fingernails as I curl my fingers, looking at each individual one. “Well, that’s completely up to you.” My tone is as dismissive as I can make it. And I can tell that the lack of respect is irritating her. The nervous tic in the corner of her left eye gives away how irritated she currently is.

“Your husband didn’t put up much of a fight,” I state plainly, and I watch her eyes hollow.

“What do you mean by that?” She untwists the caps on the bottles of water as if to threaten me with them.

“I mean exactly what I said. He didn’t put up much of a fight.” In a moment of rage, she shrieks as she shifts to her wolf. She doesn’t shift as fast as I do and it’s rather slow for those of her element. I back into the shadows as the stark white wolf launches itself at me.

Raising a single hand, my shadows come to defend me. They grip her wolf in black inky tentacles encompassing her entire body. They slip and slide as they coil around her, slowly constricting. “I really wish it didn’t come to this. To kill a female is a waste.”

I enunciate each syllable as I stare at her wolf. The veins in the whites of her eyes bulge and rupture. A strained whine escapes her muzzle and with a swift move of my hands my shadows rip her to pieces. What’s left of the queen of the Water Kingdom lays torn in half in a pool of her own blood. I stare down at her remains for several seconds sadly, not feeling any remorse or regret over what I’ve done. She is yet another in the number that has stood against me and, at some point or mistreated me. I don’t kill indiscriminately, but I will not stand defenseless against my enemies.

“What do we do now?” Kaedyn asks, and honestly, I don’t have an answer.

“For now, we clean up the mess that the Orcs, Trolls, Fae and apparently, Mateo’s bloodline have caused.” The only sadness that I feel at this moment is for all the lives that have been lost along the way to get to this point.

The attack on my brother started the chain reaction, spurring me on my journey to find my mates. The grand design of it all is still a mystery to me, but I can only assume that it was a sick power play on my father’s and Mateo’s parts. If they could contain and control someone like me, they would have been an unstoppable force and would have taken over the other packs with ease.

Sebastian is the first to notice the weight of it all on my shoulders. He comes forward and wraps me in a silent hug, pressing my head flat against his chest, just holding me. This simple act is enough to break my resolve and a few rogue tears escape my eyes. I’m all that’s left of my bloodline. My kingdom is torn apart by years of self-righteous damage caused by my father. I have a lot I need to repair, physically and mentally. It won’t happen overnight but with the help of my mates, I’m sure that this will be the dawning of a new era.

Chapter58

Belladonna

1.5 years later.

The slow, slick slide of Egon’s length bottoms out deep within me. Sebastian slowly thrusts into Kaedyn, driving Kaedyn’s length deeply into Hollis. Hollis stands before me with his impressive length bouncing just before my face as I remain on my hands and knees. He carefully has himself braced; holding onto the edge of the bed frame over his head, offering me the sticky sweet pre-cum that is sliding down his length. It’s our sixth heat together and my scent is driving the males to madness.

Each one taking turns fucking the other when they can’t get ahold of me themselves. The slapping of skin and the deep grunting growls of their beasts fill the air, spurring us all on. Egon’s grip tightens on my hip bones as he keeps thrusting deeper and deeper within me, his motions becoming more frantic by the moment. I reach out with my tongue, licking Hollis from root to tip, afraid to suck his length into my mouth with as close as I am to the edge. My body tingles all over as my stomach tightens as the first flutters of my core wrap around Egon’s length. The pressure of his knot at my entrance makes me growl deeply as I bite at the air in front of me.

With a sudden jolt of dominance, Hollis grabs the hair at the back of my head when I gasp as Egon bottoms out within me, his knot locking in place. Hollis thrusts forward, driving his length home into my mouth. I feel him stretch my throat with each stuttered thrust. He withdraws long enough for me to catch a gasping breath before thrusting back in again. His knot bounces against my lips as I shake and shudder as my orgasm overtakes me. The pulsing of his seed as it shoots down my throat spurns my orgasm on further.

Egon is bent over me completely, his arms wrapped around my rib cage as his teeth sink into the flesh of my shoulder. I feel the distinct pulses of his cock deep within me. Eventually Sebastian and Kaedyn come as well, and we all fall basically where we’re at as a large, sated mass trying to catch our breath. Egon gently curls around me and pulls me to lie down with him on the bed and the others slowly crawl their way onto the mattress.

We reach out, laying a hand on each other just to have contact at this moment. This being the fourth day of my heat, each one has had a chance to be the main man in charge of my pleasure. I’m still panting, trying to come down from the high that I’ve experienced. My body is warm and flushed, covered in dewy sweat, feeling the wondrous afterglow.

After what seems like forever, Egon’s knot finally releases, and he falls free from me. Scooting forward, I place my head upon Hollis’s chest. Egon rests his head on my hip as Kaedyn and Sebastian each reach out and try to touch me where they can. A decent nap would do me good, so I close my eyes listening to the deep thudding of Hollis’s heart as it slows down as he drifts off to sleep.

Laying back, I ponder the events of this past year. It took several months to bring peace to the packs and purge the poison my father had infused. I reflect, recalling the border wars that happened after Mateo’s bloodline was purged from the Water Kingdom. Sebastian helped me set up a council there instead of another monarchy.

Voting took place over the first six months of my rule. All the kingdoms wanted councils, not rulers. They didn’t mind my ruling since I have a mate from each of the kingdoms to make it fair for all. One month out of each quarter, we take a week to travel and visit each pack individually.

Four visits a year, plus weekly calls with each council making sure all is well. My soft-handed approach to ruling the kingdoms was a welcome change. I’m greeted with cheers when I visit the kingdoms and I bring presents for the children of the packs. I’ve met just about every child in each kingdom. They are truly my favorite part of the visits.

Eighteen months and six heats later still no pups of our own. Children are hard to come by for my people, for most wolves, to be perfectly honest. A slow, deep sigh escapes my lips as I snuggle in closer to Hollis. His arm reflexively encircles me, pulling me flush to his chest to chase away my demons. I gave the wildlings land on the northern border of the Shadow Kingdom. After the last full moon run, several of their people found mates within the packs of my people. New blood trickling into the packs is a good thing. Tomorrow, I get to oversee almost a half dozen mating announcements and ceremonies. One of the first things I got rid of was the females fighting for a single male. No more trials, no more barbaric battles to the death.

No one’s future is certain. Nothing in life is promised or forever. The only thing we can do is to be the best that we can be. Do no harm. Love yourself first and always. The last lesson I learned that hurt the most was nothing, and no one is perfect. Perfect is an ideal, not a reality.
