“Hey, I’m about to come,” I warned.

She seemed determined to take it all the way until I blew to the back of her throat. Then drinking me dry, she wiped her pretty mouth and gave me that “how was that?” look.

I took her into her arms. “That was sensational.”

All that sex had given me a raging appetite, and I was pleased to have arranged for breakfast to be delivered.

Dressed in a bathrobe, Mirabel padded around barefoot, rubbing her wet hair with a towel.

“One could get used to this.” She chuckled. “The heated floor alone is insane.”

I was glad when it was a male server who wheeled in our breakfast. Mirabel had already guessed that I’d fucked half of the pretty female staff. Not something I was proud of. I made a mental note to ask the female staff about not being so flirty. Perhaps I could tell them I’d become devoutly religious and turned celibate.

Mm… as if.

The aroma of fried eggs and bacon had my stomach rumbling.

“That smells delicious,” she said, licking her lips.

“I forgot to ask if you were a vegan.” I led her into the dining area.

“No. I’m a carnivore. I used to be, but I lacked energy.” She patted her stomach. “I love my food. Unfortunately.”

I smiled. “I think that’s healthy, myself. Take a seat.”

The server placed the teapot and a rack of toast with softened butter onto a dish.

Mirabel shook her head. “Do you eat like this every day?”

I poured the tea into two cups. “Depends. If I’ve got a lot on, I pick something up at a café.”

“This is nicer than breakfast cereal.” She spread avocado on her toast.

“I’ve got to head back to Bridesmere this morning.” The thought of dealing with all the issues back home doused my otherwise upbeat mood.

“I’m here all week. I’m recording a few songs with Orson.” She bit into her toast.

That left a strange feeling. “Oh?”

“He’s a very talented producer, among other things.”

“Among other things? By that, you mean him being a poseur and a sleaze?”

She laughed. “Poseur? Yes, I guess he is. Orson seems to think he’s living in the seventies. He often laments that he was born a decade too late. Sleazy? Mm… He’s just hot-blooded.” She paused to study me. “Why are you frowning?”

“I would never have expected you to defend someone’s overt bad behaviour.”

“Was I doing that?” She thought about it and shrugged. “Are you jealous?” Her pretty eyes sparkled as she tilted her head.

“I don’t do jealousy.”

Her eyes held mine. “Then you’re unique. And he’s not that bad.”

“The last time I looked, he didn’t exactly take no for an answer.”

“I can handle him. He’s just frisky. He’s giving me free recording time at his house.”

My eyebrows contracted. “At his house. Alone?”
