Luke groaned and ran his fingers through his hair.

“C’mon, Luke, you’ve played footy in front of more people than that.”

He shook his head. “That was different, they’re watching an entire team, not an individual.”

My face lit up. “But we’re a team…aren’t we?”

Luke considered that for moment and sighed. “Yeah, alright then.”

My eyes grew wide. “So, you’ll do it?”

“Yeah, I’ll do it, but on one condition.”

I arched one brow. “What’s that?”

“We do the duet.”

My mouth fell open and I threw my arms around his waist. “Thank you, Luke,” I sighed, feeling my eyes well in relief.

I stepped away from his embrace with a bashful smile, and ran back into the house before he had a chance to change his mind.
