Page 14 of His Sacrifice

“Welcome home,” he whispers, stealing all the air out of my body when he drops his knees and lifts me onto his shoulder.

I don’t get the chance to appreciate the elaborate reception room we pass through, he moves too swiftly, and when he finally places me down on a chair, I take in the space surrounding me that I assume is his living room. He’s staring down at me so hard that I can’t focus on anything other than him.

“Did you know about the video?” His jaw tenses under his stubble, and the way his foot taps and his chest heaves prove that whatever this is, has him really pissed.

“What video, Raoul, what is all this about?”

“It’s about this.” He pulls an iPad off the table beside me and holds it in front of me. There’s the still of a video on the screen. One of me in Fabian’s bedroom, sitting on his cock.

“That’s me!” I stare harder at the screen, unable to hide the shock from my tone. How the hell has Raoul got this? Does he have hidden cameras in his clients' houses?

“I know it’s fucking you. I've watched it. Twice,” he growls back at me through his teeth.

“How did you—”

“It’s on the web, this video of you fucking, is on the damn internet.” He throws the iPad at the marble floor, smashing it to pieces, then paces the space in front of me, pulling his fingers through his hair again.

“How? That’s me and Fabian, it’s personal.”

“Don’t.” He turns his attention back to me, pointing his finger. His eyes are wild as they glare into mine, and when the arch of his hand clasps around my throat and forces me to stand, I manage to gasp back the scared scream that threatens to break out of it.

“I do not want to hear that man’s name come from your lips again.”

“Ludo.” His focus remains fixed on me as he summons his father's bodyguard, and my eyes move over his shoulder to land on the familiar face that enters the room.

“Miss Evelyn,” Ludo drops his head to greet me, completely ignoring the fact that Raoul has me gripped by my fucking throat.

“I want you to erase all traces of that video from the web, if you don’t know how, you find someone who does,” Raoul orders.

“Of course, sir,” Ludo nods, despite Raoul not being able to see his reaction, then leaves us alone again.

Oh god, this means he will have to see it too. The man used to be a friend of my father’s before he died.

“Your boyfriend was the one who uploaded that video. I had Ludo look into it,” Raoul explains, his grip softening ever so slightly. “He put you all over the internet for everyone to look at, for men to toss their cocks off to,” he seethes with anger.

“There will be a mistake, Fabian wouldn’t do that.” I’m saying the words but I’m not sure if I believe them. I’ve only been with the man a short time. I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t been doubting my decision lately. What if Fabian did post that up? Would he really do that to me?

“No mistake, your boyfriend is a cunt.”

“Wow, do you still kiss your grandmother with that mouth, Raoul?” I laugh, and instead of loosening the tension, like I hoped it would, it only seems to add to his rage.

“This isn't a game, Evelyn. Fabian plays with dangerous men, he gives himself more credit than he deserves. He can’t protect you, and this proves that he exploits you.” He points at the broken iPad on the floor. “So I will ask you one more time. Why fucking him?” Raoul’s face is so close to mine, his grip so tight that I can feel his fingers leaving a mark on my skin. Yet all I seem capable of thinking about is having him touch between my legs again.

“Why not him, Raoul?” I laugh through the tears that are starting to build up behind my eyes, this man really has no idea what he did to me. “You left me. You gave up on us. I’m just getting on with my life, and I’d really appreciate you not interfering. If what you said about Fabian is true, then you’re right, he is a—”

Raoul's finger quickly presses over my mouth to trap my next word.

“This mouth is far too pretty to curse,” he warns.

“Untie me and let me go,” I order when he drops his finger and allows me to speak again.

“Not if you're going back to him.” Raoul shakes his head.

“That’s not your choice to make, and you can’t keep me locked up here.”

“You shouldn’t doubt my abilities.” The threat in his eyes spark a thrill inside me that I have to force aside. I have to be strong. “But you are right, it’s not my choice to make.” He surprises me when he agrees.

He releases me from his grip, then kneels in front of me.
