“No.”

I cracked my hand against her bottom with enough force she yelped. “Don’t make me tell you again. Open. Your. Mouth.”

She made several frustrated sounds as she obeyed me, wiggling several times as I slid the slickened handle across her tongue.

“Very wet.”

With that I tossed the spoon into the sink and moved away, admiring my work. She’d have difficulty sitting for the rest of the night.

She remained where she was for a few seconds then yanked up her panties and shorts. I could hear distinct cuss words under her breath, and they brought another fireball of yearning into my system.

“Asshole. Son of a bitch. Jerk. Creep. Savage.”

Yep. She had all of them right.

She took several deep breaths, raking her hands through her hair. Then she turned around to face me, her brow scrunched, but her eyes balls of white-hot heat.

“The look in your eyes could burn down a building,” I jested.

“You don’t want to know what I’m thinking.”

“Maybe I do.”

Her expression softened just before she rolled her eyes. “So you’re a biker.”

“Where the hell did that come from?”

“I have instincts about these things.” She returned to rinsing the dishes, acting as if the intimate moment hadn’t occurred.

“Yeah. I was running with a club for a while.”

“What was the name? Don’t tell me. The Hell’s Angels.”

Snorting, I moved closer to the island, grabbing the ketchup bottle. “The Silent Kings.”

“Interesting. What did you do with them?”

“I was an enforcer.”

“Which meant you broke the law.”

“Which meant I handled the difficult aspects of our business.”

“And you’re not going to tell me what those were.”

I shoved the bottle into the refrigerator, taking my time closing the door. “Don’t ask questions that you won’t like the answers to.”

“But I’m asking.”

As I leaned against the counter, she shot me a single look. “I’ve already told you I’ve done some bad shit in my life, things I’m not proud of. Let’s just leave it at that. I’m no longer with them and I ain’t starting up again here. I can’t. I won’t.”

“Because of Lily.”

She continued to push my buttons, nosy as could be, but for some reason it didn’t bother me like it should. “Yes, but also because I need to get my shit together.”

“Sounds like you have it all figured out. What about the Army?”

“What about it? Not something I like to talk about.”
