I've gonefrom sky-high to down low in a matter of minutes.

Lord knows I don't want to be here waiting for this date, but I do owe him a little bit of leeway since I was late first.

I also don't want to be here because no matter how nice he sounded over the messages on tinder, I'm just not interested.

Still, I promised my brothers that I'd do better when it came to my commitment issues. I don't want them to worry about me.

The waitress comes over with another glass of wine and I know she's starting to think that I'm going to be the lonely stood up girl she'll tell to give up the table. I wish she'd do it already.

I do my best to push the melancholy feeling I have out of my mind and think back on the absolute success of today's prank.

My brothers let me know that with a person like Nic, his reputation and the way people perceive him is probably the most important thing, which I couldn't agree more with. I don't have to scare him for a prank to be good. I just have to find a way to get that cute red embarrassed blush to cross his cheeks.

He turned so pink when the people started to sing, there's no way that I couldn't think that this was a success.

I was so happy to see him enjoying himself and laughing. Even when we went outside to see the bigger production, he was still smiling and even danced a little.

I didn't think that the flash mob would get as much attention as it did, but the people in the close by small shops came out to see it as well. All of them lit up with joy.

Now I've gone from that to sitting here in this hoity-toity restaurant in a dress that so far has brought me nothing but bad luck waiting on a Tinder date.

In a rush of movement, a man comes up to the table and sits down across from me.

"I'm so sorry. I thought I accounted for enough time, but the roads were killer this evening." He says as he takes in a few breaths.

"Oh...um yeah...no, it's okay. I'm happy you could make it. It's a pleasure to meet you." I say and try to get a look at his face. He looks so different from the tinder profile. Still, I guess everyone puts up the most flattering pictures when it came to online dating.

"Yeah, you too." He says takes a sip of water.

He's wearing a hat and a long coat. I didn't think it was that cold out, but if that's what he felt comfortable in, who am I to tell him not to wear it.

The waitress comes over to the table, a brighter smile on her face as she drops the menus off in front of us. I pick mine up and open it, taking a glance at what this place has to offer. It's not my kind of food at all. Seems like everything has foie gras or duck confit in it. Something I'd see on one of those cooking shows.

After going over the same two dishes one too many times, I pull the menu down and am startled when I see that my date has taken off his hat.

The man has the full Danny Zuco hairstyle going on. He even uses his pointer finger to pull down the front curl. I have to hide my laughter with a cough. I take a few sips of water to play it off better and look away.

He can't be serious. How can he think that looks good? Better yet, where are his friends to tell him to not come outside like that.

I don't want to be rude, so we continue on with the date, and more and more I find myself just wanting to melt into my seat. He has an obnoxious laugh, and soon he starts quoting famous Elvis songs, ending all his requests with thank you very much.

The last straw is when he complains of being hot and stands to take off his jacket.

The man is wearing the full Elvis costume down to the bedazzled belt and cape.

How the hell did I pick this guy to date? I cover my face with my hands and when I peek through again I notice that everyone's staring at us, their eyes open wide as they see the Elvis man in front of me. How embarrassing.

"You know, I heard you were just visiting here, where are you staying? Is it like a halfway house for temp nurses or some sort of hotel?" He asks when he sits back down.

I can't even open my mouth to answer, I just shake my head subtly, wishing that I'd get struck by lightning.

"You sure, we have a few wonderful ones. I wouldn't suggest the one down on lonely street, though."

"Oh god!" I moan loudly and slink further into my chair when he pulls out a pair of gold tinted sunglasses and starts singing heartbreak hotel.

There are a few giggles around, but one in particular catches my attention. I'd spent so long listening out for it that I'd be able to place it anywhere. I snap my head to look at the bar and there holding his side is Nic Dracos with his phone out, obviously recording my reaction.

"Oh, you sneaky bastard!" I yell at him across the restaurant floor, but I can't stop the smile on my face.
