“What do you mean, you know how to work me?”

“I know how to turn you on.”

I licked my lips and looked away. I gasped as I felt his fingers running up the inside of my thigh again.

“What are you doing? We’re in a conference room.”

“I’m just saying, I know what you like,” he said, “and maybe we need to turn this up a notch.”

“What do you mean turn this up a notch?”

“So are we ready to get started?” Columbus Campo interrupted us.

Travis looked up, but his fingers didn’t leave my leg.

“Yes, definitely. My assistant here, Molly Malone, will take notes, and I’m ready to get started whenever you are.”

“Great!” Columbus said, beaming as he took a seat. “So the first thing I want to talk about is my company, Corazon…”

Travis looked over at me. “Shouldn’t you pull out your pen and paper so you can start taking notes?”

“Need to remove your fingers,” I said, glaring at him. “You’re distracting me.”

“I am?” he said as he moved his fingers even higher.

I gasped as I felt him trying to slip my skirt up. “Stop it,” I muttered.

He laughed and removed his fingers. “Are you sure? You really want me to stop it? Remember, this is business, not personal. If you don’t pay attention to the rules, then I will be forced to break them myself.”

I glared at him, and he just nodded.

Chapter 18

“So doyou think you can get away this evening?” Matthew said in a low tone as we stood near the conference door waiting for Eagle, Columbus, and Travis to finish their last conversation. The meeting was done, and we were about to leave.

“I don’t know. I just got this job and—”

“I never thought you’d work as an assistant,” Matthew said, frowning. “I thought you hated corporate America.”

“Well, I need money,” I said, shrugging. “So a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do.”

“But your dad would be more than happy to support you,” he said. “Didn’t you walk away from a trust fund?”

“Because the trust fund had strings.” I stared at him. “And I’m not interested in playing my dad’s games.”

Matthew didn’t look impressed by what I had to say. “You look really gorgeous, though, Molly,” he said, staring at me, his eyes roving over my body. “Like super sexy. I think New York agrees with you.”

“Well, thanks. I love New York. I actually think it’s a far superior city to San Francisco.” I smiled at him.

“It’s okay. It’s kind of big.” He took a step forward. “You know one of my biggest regrets from the time we were dating?”

“No,” I said, shaking my head. “What’s that?”

His fingers reached up and touched the side of my face, and I felt them running toward my lips. I stared at him in shock, not knowing what to say or do.

“The fact that I never got to fuck you,” he said. “I’ve pictured yourOface many times.”

I stared at him in shock. “What did you just say?”
