He smiled. “Then I guess I’m going to be a dad.” He looked at me for a couple of seconds. “Come on, don’t tell me you don’t think that was hot as hell.”
I stared at him for a couple of seconds and ran my fingers through my hair. “I mean, it was hot as hell. And yes, I got caught up in the moment, as well. But we can’t do things like that.”
“Why not? Doesn’t that make life exciting and fun?”
“It does, but it’s risky.”
“Then get on the pill,” he said, his eyes gazing at my lips.
“Maybe,” I said. “I’ll think about it.”
“We can go this afternoon if you want.”
“What do you mean, we can go this afternoon? We have meetings all afternoon.”
“And I can postpone them.”
“What?” I stared at him in shock.
“If you want to get on the pill, we can make it happen today,” he said, gazing at me. “I’m willing to postpone as many meetings as it takes so that you feel more comfortable.”
“So that I feel more comfortable with what?”
“With us fucking any and everywhere”—he grinned—“without having to worry about protection.”
I stared at him for a couple of seconds, my eyes wide. “You would cancel—”
“Not cancel,” he said, interrupting me. “Postpone.”
“You would postpone your meetings just so I could get on the pill?”
“Yeah.” He laughed. “That’s how good your pussy feels.”

“I cannot believeyou postponed your afternoon appointment just so I can go on the pill.” I stared at him in shock and disbelief.
“Well, believe it,” he said, grinning at me. “So you got them?” he asked as we made our way to the hotel lobby.
“Yeah, I got them. We just went to Walgreens so I could pick up my prescription.”
“Good,” he said, smiling.
“What do you mean good?”
“I just mean that tonight we will have some fun.”
I stared at him and shook my head. “Oh my gosh. Really?”
“What? You’re not excited for us to…”
“We were going to get separate hotel rooms, remember?”
“No,” he said with a smile.
“You’re the one who said we should have separate hotel rooms.”
“No, I said don’t pretend that the hotel has run out of rooms and that’s why we’ve got one room.”
