“Thank you!” A few called out as I left.

I exited the backstage area and found Isabelle with my friends up front in the crowd. I slipped my paddle out from my inside jacket pocket and held it at my side as I took my place next to myIslafor the night. She glanced up, giving me a small smile. She appeared both nervous and excited all at once.

“We are going to bring out our first woman of the evening!” Sharon announced from the microphone, summoning the attention of every guest in the room. “Those of you who were here last year, might remember our Lacey. After she moved here from Los Angeles, she decided she loved the city so much she wanted to stay. She is now looking for someone to keep giving her reasons to love it here.”

Several laughs and perverted statements echoed through the crowd.

“We’ll start the binding at thirty thousand dollars!”

Paddles began to lift, the numbers shot up. Lacey stood proudly pressing her cleavage together to give everyone a peek.

“Sold!” Sharon pointed toward the corner of the room. “Two hundred fifty thousand dollars!”

Lacey bounced off stage, proudly shaking her rear for the room to admire.

“Next is Delilah!” Sharon continued. “Delilah comes from France but has been attending college at NYU for the past year. She is ready to take on any man in the room who wants to show her how real men—”

A tap on my shoulder interrupted my focus. I leaned back, never taking my eyes off stage. William leaned back as well. Noah poked his head between us.

“Boss, we need to talk.”

Usually, I would have had my earpiece in, but had taken it out so I would not be distracted by the increased chatter on the channel since we had hired more security for the evening.

“Can it wait? We’re kind of busy.”

“No sir, I hate to say this, but it’s quite urgent.”

Rolling my eyes, I glanced at William, jerking my head back. He stepped behind me. I slid over to Blaine.

“Keep an eye on the girls, please. I’m needed.”

“Of course.”

I placed my hands on Isabelle’s hips. “Isla, I have to go talk to security for a bit. Stick withTandB.”

She nodded with a smile, keeping her eyes on the stage. “Okay, love you.” She whispered.

“I love you too, baby. Be right back.”

William and I followed Noah to the side door. I glanced around looking for Joseph. He was nowhere to be seen. The moment we stepped through the exit, I glowered. William turned his head toward me, confusion painted on his brow.

“What’s going on?”

I struggled to keep up with Noah as we sped down the hallway. He remained quiet as we turned three corners. We came to a stop in front of a room I kept as my designated office at the hotel. He stepped to the side, holding his hand out.

“After you.”

I marched into the room, followed by William then Noah. The office was dimly lit, setting the mood for those who would use it to sign their contracts, keeping their faces concealed should they have chosen to. I was so anxious, I did not count how many men where in the room with us.

“What the fuck is going on?”

Joseph was smoking, a pained expression filled his eyes. William took a step to the side, crossing his arms over his stomach as he perched on the corner of a built-in cabinet with a bookcase.

“Joe?” I ripped my mask off my face. “What’s going on?”

Emilio Rovati took a step forward, revealing himself from a dark corner of the room.

“Cazzo. Diavolo.” I muttered under my breath.
