“Turn around.” She laid her hands on my arm and stepped in front of me, holding the camera up to take a photo of us together with the landscape in the background. She snapped several, then held it to her side. “Noah, Joseph, get in here. I want one with the four of us.”

Taking photos with the staff was not something I made a habit of. Isabelle wanted them included. She hated leaving them out when they were working. She handed her phone to me, asking me to take the pictures of us.

A random woman saw me struggling to get everyone in the frame but was failing. “Excuse me, do you want me to take it for you guys?”

Isabelle lightly nudged me with her elbow.

“Yes, please thank you.” I reluctantly handed over the phone.

“Thank you!” Isabelle grinned.

After we got back to the hotel and I showered, I slipped on a pair of black slacks and went to the living room while Isabelle took her shower. Joseph and Noah were discussing Lindsay calling my phone repeatedly while we were out. I grabbed my shirt off the couch and inspected it. “What are you saying about Lindsay?” I slid on the shirt and buttoned it up.

Noah groaned under his breath, though it was hard to decipher what he said.

“Is there something going on between you and Lindsay that I should know about?”

Joseph brought his hand to his chin and his eyes fell on Noah as well. Both of us were now suspicious about his statement, even though I was sure Joseph did not understand him either.

“No.” Noah shook his head. “Not at all. Sorry, boss.”

The way he saidno, perturbed me. I pursed my lips, folding my arms as I studied his gaze and mannerisms. He was not breaking. Joseph caught on to my challenge and changed the topic instantly.

“Do you want to wait for Felipe to strike, or do you want to take him out first?”

Noah crossed his arms, mimicking my stance while he on the window by the fireplace.

I sighed. “Considering what we know he’s capable of—”

“Do you think he followed us?” Isabelle’s voice echoed from the bedroom doorway. She roamed to the living room in a robe, drying off her hair with a towel.

Perching on the arm of the couch, I absorbed her beauty but forced myself to focus on her question. Before I could reply, Noah smirked and replied for me since he caught on to my mood.

“We’re just discussing Felipe’s fate.” He began to slowly pace back and forth.

Chewing the inside of her cheek as she stared off at nothing, she continued to fluff her hair. She pivoted to walk out of the room then returned moments later with no towel. When she sat in the middle of the couch, I slid off the edge and rested next to her, placing my arm around her shoulder.

“So,” she leaned forward and entwined her fingers around her knee, “what are you guys planning?”

Joseph puffed out his cheeks as he exhaled, sitting in the chair next to us. Crossing his ankle over his leg, he smirked. “Well, we were just about to discuss that.”

I sighed in response to Joseph’s statement. Remaining silent, I stared through him and out the window behind him, vividly recalling the past.

I felt my hands becoming clammy, reliving the moment of the sharp pain I endured crawling through the glass on my hands and knees at the London penthouse. Watching everything unfold and then later waking up in the hospital, unsure what was going on. Memories had come back since and though I am thankful most of us made it out alive, I wish badly that I could tell Marco I forgive him.

Felipe, however, deserved death and I was going to cheer my fiancé on as he took care of that.Do I agree with murder? No.What I agree with is justice and karma. I also believe that doing whatever you have to do to protect the ones you love is okay. If you must kill to protect your family, I support it if it is truly warranted.

“Bella?” Valentino placed his hands on my thigh.

It jolted me back to reality and I jerked my posture. I sharply inhaled and turned my head to him. “What?”

He took my hand in both of his. “Holy shit, you’re sticky.”

I shrugged, sheepishly grinning. “Sorry, I—”

“Apologies,” Joseph interrupted, “we can discuss this later.”

“No, no.” I shook my head and stood up. “It’s okay.” I adjusted my robe. “You guys go ahead and talk.” I ambled toward our bedroom. “I’m going to go get ready for dinner.”
