“What’s going on?” She hissed.

Shrugging, I opened my mouth to whisper but he returned with his laptop and laid it on the coffee table in front of us. He opened it and after typing for a moment, he turned it toward us. Photos, blueprints, and measurements of the large island were on the right, the smaller on the left with the same.

“This is the information for both.” He rested his hands on his hips.

“Correct.”

“Right, well—” He bent over and pressed a button, zooming in to the bottom right of the screen. “Is this the real estate agent who sold the property to you?”

“Yes?” I lifted a hand to my chin, not really paying mind to the woman. “What are you getting at, Noah?”

Just as he opened his mouth to reply, a ringing came from William’s pocket. He handed Aston over to Tanya and slid his phone from his pocket. “Shit, it’s Joe!”

Joseph?! Where the fuck are you?!

The girls’ eyes were all wide as they stared at him. Isabelle reached up to me, grabbing my leg. I ran my fingers over her forearm, soothing her. Impatiently, I waited for any answers.

God, that’s good to know.

Okay, we’re on our way.He hung up and shoved his phone back into his pants. “V, it’s time. We have to go now.”

I nodded then turned to Noah. “Get them to the island immediately!”

“No!” He shook his head. “I’m not taking them there unless you listen to me, first!”

I leapt up from the arm of the sofa and lunged toward him, fists clenched at my side. “You will do what I fucking say!”

“I will not let them get hurt!” He raised his voice at me and crossed his arms, challenging my orders.

“You will fucking list—”

“Boss!” He marched to the coffee table and yanked the laptop up then flipped it around toward me, pushing it into my arms. “Please for fuck’s sake look at the picture again!”

I read the information out loud mumbling through the words on the screen, looking for whatever it was he was talking about. He reached over and pointed toward a name.

“Angelina Gómez?” The woman’s photo was a stranger to me. It no longer matched up.

Isabelle stood, and marched over, peering at the screen. Eyes tearing, she slapped her hand over her mouth as she started to back toward the foyer. Noah stepped over and grabbed her, holding her by the arms so she could not go anywhere.

“Isabelle,” I sighed, “who is that because it’s not the realtor I have been dealing with.” I took my keys from my pocket, gripping them in my fist.

“You purchased that island from my aunt?!” Terrified, she began to wail.

“V, we have to go now!” William pressed a quick kiss to Tanya’s lips and his son’s head before he grabbed the keys out of my hand and stomped toward the front door.

“I’ll be right behind you, Liam!” I snapped. “Go to the car!” I turned my attention back to Isabelle and Noah, shaking my head. “I don’t understand.”

“She is Felipe’s older sister.” Noah muttered under his breath, gritting his teeth.

“Oh my fucking God!” I gasped. “Bella.” I took her hands in mine. “I didn’t know I bought that from...ugh...that’s not the same person!” I tugged her into my body, holding her as tightly as I could without hurting her or our baby.Noah saved us once again.

As if he could read my mind, he cleared his throat, summoning our attention. He glanced at Laura, rolling his bottom lip between his teeth before focusing on us. Crossing his arms, he swallowed whatever emotions he had for her and continued as if she were no longer in the room. “Actually, I have a great idea and I know you have to go but, if we can just still get everyone to the island,” he gestured toward the screen, “we can lure him there and kill him where there isn’t a way to escape.”

“No!” I spat. “Absolutely not now, no!”

“Hear me out…please.” Noah lifted his hands. “They don’t know that we’re aware of the information and if we take the girls to the bigger island, we can sneak them off to the smaller one on the back side and he will be trapped with us when he arrives.”

I glanced over my shoulder at Tanya who was now feeding Aston before my gaze fell on my sister for a moment. Gnawing the inside of my cheek, I hoped my decision to trust Noah would never come back to haunt me. I did not have a choice any longer and he had more than proven himself. Offering Isabelle my hand, I entwined my fingers with hers then presented Noah a subtle bow. “Let me go get Joseph. You work, whatever shit this is, out while we’re gone.”
