She dropped her fork and ran from her seat, leaping at me and landing in my lap. “Thank you. Thank you.” She pressed kisses all over my face as I laughed.
“I did good?” I asked, raising my eyebrows, resting my palm against her cheek.
You did the best, Bear. I love you. Thank you.”
“I’ll need to go away every now and again to set up new bands or new security teams, but Addi promised we can work that around your schedule, so then you can come with me. Me and you on the God's private jet. I mean, imagine the trouble we could get up to.”
“How long until we can have sex? Because I desperately want to show you how grateful I am.”
“Seven days.”
“Seven days is way too long,” she huffed.
“We’ll survive. Patience, remember. Get your ass on the sofa and let me stroke that back of yours while we watch a movie.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Not helping, Rogue.”
“I know.” She wiggled her eyebrows at me with a half smile, before she pulled off her top, leaving her breasts exposed.
“Just so you can reach my back easier.”
“You’re a wicked woman, Mrs. Bear. I will get my revenge.”
“That’s what I’m hoping for.”

Matt
“Frankie,you’rehome.I’vemissed you so much, sweet girl. You did give me and your dad a scare. How are you? How are you both?” Frankie’s mum asked as she pulled her daughter into a tight hug.
“Wow, if I’d known I was getting a welcoming committee, I would have caused more trouble as a kid and made you worry about me more.”
“No, Frankie, once is enough. Well, actually with the shooting, that’s twice. Please don’t do that to your old man again. I guess I have you to thank, Matt. The boys told me what you did to save Frankie. How you put yourself in danger to get her out of the river. I don’t think I can ever thank you enough.” Frankie’s dad, stretched out his hand to shake mine, but as soon as my palm landed in his, he pulled me in for a hug.
“You’re welcome, Mr. Hill. I would do it all again tomorrow if I had to.”
“Phil, please. Call me Phil.”
“Phil.”
“Okay, family, stop embarrassing me. Please. The man could still run once he realizes how weird you all are.”
“Oh, little sis, we haven’t even started the big brother chats yet. I mean, if you’re going to be with this older man, then we need to know his intentions. Matt, what are your intentions with our baby sister?” Tanner punched me on the arm, shaking his hand, looking in pain when he remembered that they paid me to be a wall of muscle
I leaned in closer to Tanner, keeping my voice low. “My intention, Tan, is to love her for a lifetime, fuck her until she can’t walk, fill her with babies and follow her around the world, reminding her how utterly perfect she is.”
“Dear lord, Matt,” Lori gasped. “I don’t know if that was the loveliest thing I’ve ever heard, or I’m scared for life for the bit about her not being able to walk again.”
I groaned as Tanner and the twins burst into fits of laughter. Frankie eased my embarrassment by slipping her hand into mine.
“Bear, you’ll learn Mum hears everything. Especially the stuff you don’t want her to hear.”
“Noted. Sorry, Lori,” I offered with a wince.
She rubbed her hand up and down my arm, winking at me before turning her attention back to Frankie.
