“Chicken and sweetcorn. Have you eaten? Do you want to order something for yourself? I’d offer to share, but I’m like Joey fromFriends. I don’t share food.” She laughed and then grabbed her temple, groaning. “The room service menu is next to the phone.”

I ordered pizza, garlic bread, and cokes, carrying them into her room when they arrived. I watched as she sat crossed legged on the bed and devoured three quarters of her pizza and half the garlic bread as well as two cans of coke, rubbing her belly once she was done.

We sat in silence for a few minutes until she sighed loudly, before shimming off the bed. She stood slowly before taking a few tentative steps.

“What the hell are you doing?” I questioned.

“I need the bathroom.”

“And how’s that going, pink Power Ranger?”

“It’s further than I remember.”

“Want help?”

“No.”

“But shall I help you, anyway?”

She huffed, frustratedly. “Can you?”

I moved behind her, placing my hands on her hips to steady her until she reached the bathroom, unable to ignore how toned she felt under my fingers.

“You want me to stay?”

“No!” she cried, pressing her fingers to the center of her forehead, rubbing gently.

“Fine, but I’ll be right outside this door. Call me when you’re done. Do you hear me? I don’t want you smashing anything else off the floor. It’s my first day. You hurt yourself again and Addi will sack me for being incompetent.”

“Yes, sir.”

I raised my eyebrow at her, pretending I didn’t notice how my cock twitched at her calling me that.

She shouted me a few minutes later, and I found her leaning against the wall, looking exhausted.

“I need to wash my hands, but the sink is so far away.”

I leaned down and scooped her up, pressing her against my body, noticing how she tensed momentarily, but then relaxed into my hold. I carried her to the sink, where she washed and dried her hands before I took her back to bed.

“Sleep,” I demanded as I laid her back under the sheets.

“You’re really bossy, do you know that?”

I nodded.

“I’m not sure how I feel about that, but I’m glad you’re here to keep us safe.”

“You’re being ever so nice to me, Frankie. Should I worry you’re getting a concussion?”

“Shut up. But if we’re blaming a head injury for whatever I say next, I want to say thank you, Matt. For picking me off the floor naked and looking after me. I’m sorry for being a pain.”

“Hhhmmmm, I sense your accident-prone ways are going to cause me more problems than any freaky fan.”
