“Goddamn, Kennedy,” he growled.

His fingers pried my heat wide, sliding his finger back and forth until it was slick. I watched, quaking and breathing heavily while Knight returned to his knees. He didn’t care about the construction zone or his thousand-dollar suit. He wanted me. He wanted to imprint this moment in my memory. Christen this space as our office. Our partnership. I didn’t know how to argue against his point when he made it so clearly.

He began a ritual of circling my clit with his tongue before dipping it inside me. I gripped at the motion, trying to hold him in place while he worshipped my pussy with kisses and lashes of heat and friction.

“Oh God,” I whimpered. His tongue was wild and expressive lapping at my juices. I tugged at his dark hair, urging him to go deeper. Suck harder. Drink faster.

Was he driving the deal home or sending me over the edge? I didn’t know. I didn’t care. I slapped the window.

My knees began to shake. I trembled from the inside out and I hadn’t had an orgasm yet. My hands flattened against the glass. I didn’t care if Knight was right about the reflective windows. I was in this moment with him. I wanted the fireworks. I wanted what was on the side of this. I pushed my hips toward his face. Knight was relentless. His curled his palms under my ass and urged me up and down. To ride his tongue. To give in to the pressure of his mouth.

I began to cry out. The mews were slow at first until the tidal wave broke free. My mouth opened with Knight’s name on my lips. Followed by an enthusiastic cry for more.

The vibrations from Knight’s laugh, tickled between my legs. He looked up at me, grinning like the devil he was. My devil.

“You want more?”

I nodded. “Yes.” I tried to control the way my chest heaved for more air.

He stood, easing my tits back into my bra. He kissed me on the cheek. “You want more, then I think you might be ready to make a deal on our merger.”

I gasped. “Business? Now?” I didn’t even have the energy to dress myself. “Champagne, please.”

Knight strolled across the open space and poured another glass for each of us. I wriggled the skirt up over my legs and took the chilled glass when he returned.

“Thank you.”

“My pleasure.”

“This is your vision of our partnership?” I tipped the glass back.

“What could be better than this? We can run the city together. Be together. Any time we want. Just like this.”

I bit my lip. “You do paint a pretty picture,” I joked.

“Do you want to see the contracts I have drawn up?”

“You haven’t even heard my terms.” My pulse was starting to return to normal. Maybe I would be able to put some coherent, relevant negotiating points together.

“All right. Let’s hear them.”

I smiled. I didn’t know it was possible to be this happy or to ever get everything I always wanted. Here was Knight, offering me the moon.
