“Don’t stop,” River ordered, his voice having an edge I’d never heard before.

For once, he and I were on the same page. I had no intention of stopping. I wanted to hear her screams of pleasure again. I continued assaulting her clit as a second orgasm built before the first had even finished. Her body seized as she came again. Her chest was rising and falling as her body shook. After her pussy stopped pulsating, I pulled out the vibrator and set it on the desk.

“It’s too bad you could only watch.” I ran my fingers over my lips. “She’s fucking delicious.”

I couldn’t help but get under his skin. He wanted to control this, but I was the one who got to touch her. As I turned my head toward him, I realized he was more than a little affected, if the bulge in his pants was anything to go by. He wanted her. Unfortunately for him, she didn’t share that feeling.

The gun finally left my shoulder, and I shot up from the chair. River backed up until he was across the room. A flash of indecision flew over his face before his eyes went cold.

“Oh, I know exactly how she tastes,” he informed me.

Shock coursed through me as I stared at him. Kat began shouting through the gag, and I looked at her to see she was finally holding up three fingers. I rounded the desk to undo her restraints.

“Not only have I tasted her, I know what her orgasm feels like when I’m buried inside her.” River kept talking as I unclasped the first cuff. “I was the first guy who touched her.”

The second her hand was free, Kat ripped my tie from her mouth and spit out the gag. Once both her hands were free, she sat at the edge of the desk. She was glaring at River as my heart raced from the bomb he’d just dropped. From her reaction, I was guessing it was true.

“Why don’t you finish your story, River,” she snarled, all traces of her pleasure gone. “You slept with me, and later that day, you went and ratted me out to William. The same day you promised me everything, you threw me out like trash.”

“It wasn’t like that—”

“You call me an asshole,” I cut him off, my anger rising. “I think you have me beat on that front.”

I caught movement out of the corner of my eye, and my stomach dropped when I saw Eli standing in the doorway. Fuck me, he looked pissed. I wasn’t sure how long he’d been there, but there was no doubt he knew what he’d walked into. So much for me telling him first.

“Eli, you got my text.” My eyes shot back to Kat as she jumped off the desk and grabbed her dress from the floor.

She ignored River, looking entirely undisturbed about this whole situation as we all stared at her. After picking up her shoes, she sauntered over toward Eli. He was standing rigidly and watched her warily as she got closer.

“Your best friend is great with his tongue.” She giggled and glanced over her shoulder at me. “From the look on your face, I’m going to guess you had no idea he’s been going behind your back to touch me. What an amazing friend.”

My hands clenched into fists when I realized she had been planning this the entire fucking night. She might have been at my mercy, but she was in complete control. She’d done it all for a reason.

She moved to leave the room until Eli grasped her hips, yanking her in front of him. River tensed, his gun raising. Kat didn’t move, her dress still resting over her arm as Eli grazed his fingers over her hip. I realized what he saw, and I wondered if she’d confess what happened. She shivered even as her body stayed tense.

“Who the fuck did this?” he asked, his voice deathly quiet as he traced her scar.

She shoved his hand off, but he caught her wrist, his stare not leaving her face. Rage and burning questions lingered in his gaze. Looking away from Eli, she glanced over her shoulder to River as if he would help.

“Sorry, Kit-Kat.” River shrugged. “I think we all want to know the answer to that.”

“I don’t need to tell the three of you anything,” she hissed, ripping her arm away from Eli. Anger still brewed in her eyes when she shot me a smirk. “But tonight was still fun.”

As I watched her disappear through the door, I realized River had been right all those weeks ago.

She was going to cause pure fucking chaos now that she was back.

CHAPTERNINETEEN

I didn’t leavemy spot in the doorway as West lunged at River, punching him square across the jaw. River didn’t fight back, keeping his gun tight in his grip at his side. His face was void of any emotion, and I wondered if he was regretting spilling the secret of why Kat hated him so much.

“The next time you pull your gun on me, you better fucking use it,” West threatened, rage gleaming in his eyes. “How the fuck did you even get in here?”

River swallowed whatever he was feeling and grinned, tucking the gun under his shirt. “You’re the one who told me you were seeing her tonight. It didn’t take a genius to figure out where you’d go.”

River’s gaze slid to me, and I straightened up, keeping my face cold. As pissed as I was with West, I wasn’t about to show that to River. Glancing back into the hall, I fixed my attention on Kat’s ass as she pulled her dress back on before disappearing down the stairs. I half expected her to stay and eavesdrop, but it seemed she couldn’t wait to get away from us tonight.

“I mean, you couldn’t have taken her back to the team’s house,” River continued. “Because it’s obvious you were keeping it a secret. What do you think, Eli?”
