Ivy: Else what? You’ll spank me?

My cock twitches as a vision of Ivy sprawled on my lap fills my mind.

Alec: You’re not good for me, Ivy Martin. Yes, to your answer. Go put on some clothes.

All day, I’m in an extremely good mood. In the afternoon, I get word that one of my favorite rock bands, which I also found out is Ivy’s, will be in town in a couple of weeks. I manage to snag two tickets, one of the perks of being a member of a well-known family.

I count down the days until Ivy comes back home. She stays in Florida for ten days, and when she comes back, it feels as if she’s been away for months. She texts me when her plane lands. I’m about to go into the operating room, but I text her first and invite her to dinner at my place.

Ivy: Thanks, I’d love dinner at your place. I’ll do the cooking, though.

We text back and forth about dinner. Ivy insists on bringing the groceries.

The day drags by. It feels like I’ve been staring at my watch all day. The afternoon is the worst, and even my secretary comments about my being restless. At five on the dot, I’m out of the clinic.

I take a shower when I get home and dress in a plain white T-shirt and a pair of shorts. I check my reflection in the mirror. Too casual. I dive back to my closet and pick out a pair of casual pants. Better.

I fling open the front door just as the elevator opens and Ivy steps out. She takes my breath away. She’s a vison in a flowing dress that shows off her bump and her sexy figure. Pregnancy suits her. I’m ashamed because the next thought that comes to mind is how much I want to slip my cock between her sweet lips.

“Hey, you.” I take the bag of groceries from her hand and place it on the floor, then take her into my arms. I inhale her sweet womanly smells before pulling back to kiss her lips. She draws back and smiles at me in a way that makes my heart pound hard. Something that’s never happened to me from just having a woman look at me.

Tender feelings come over me, and I cup her face. “It’s so good to see you. I’ve missed you.” I drop my hands to her belly, and a proprietorial feeling comes over me.

It hits me like a door slamming in my face that I have no right to feel that way. Ivy deserves being courted by the man of her dreams and then marrying him because she loves him, not because she’s accidentally carrying his baby.

“I’ve missed you too,” Ivy says softly.

An awkward moment fills the air. Ivy breaks it by picking up the bag of groceries and bustling into the kitchen.

“What are we having for dinner?” I follow her to the counter and help her unpack the groceries.

She shoots me an amused glance. “You know I don’t tell what’s for dinner until it’s ready.”

“Why?”

“Because it might turn out to be something other than what I originally intended,” Ivy says, and I burst out laughing.

I help out, but finally, Ivy shoos me away to set up the table. I haven’t laughed or grinned as much as I have in one evening. I love her company and the fact that she has a sense of humor.

“Hey, I have tickets to The Cruisers concert this Friday.”

Ivy’s eyes widen, and I stifle a laugh. She leans across the table and places her hands on mine. “Which internal organ do you want in exchange for one of the tickets?”

I burst out laughing. “No need for that. I was going to ask you to be my date.”

“Yes, yes, and yes,” she screams.

If I’d known that getting the tickets to The Cruisers concert would get Ivy to react as she did, I’d have done it a long time ago, even if it would have meant traveling to another city.

“Great.” I lean back in my chair and pat my belly. “Thanks for a great meal. You always outdo yourself. You make me want to learn how to cook so that I can return the favor.”

“No need. You returned the favor when you allowed me to shadow you,” Ivy says and makes as though to stand up.

“I’ll clear up while you relax on the couch. I’ll join you when I’m done.”

“That is one offer I’m not going to say no to,” Ivy says.

I jump to my feet and grab her glass of water. “I’ll take that.” I carry the glass to the coffee table in the sitting area.
