My head had rolled back in ecstasy, her arm around my waist; all that was holding me up. I came undone embarrassingly fast, finding my release against her face. She continued, cleaning me up, before removing her mouth and hand from me.

“Like that,” I told her teasingly, smiling happily as she stood and took me in her arms. She smiled at me, kissing me hard, forcing me to taste myself on her tongue.

“Did I perform well?” She asked me.

“Very,” I told her, feeling that wonderfully satisfied way her touch always left me. “Is it my turn now?” I asked her as I pushed my hands under her top.

She swatted my backside hard.

“No,” she stated. I was confused. I always got to reciprocate. There was more enjoyment for me in her pleasure than there was for my own.

“Why?” I asked and felt rejected, which wasn’t logical given I was the only one to receive pleasure.

She pulled me tighter against her, brushing my hair away from my face.

“I am truly busy, pet. If I allow you to start touching me, I won’t let you stop until the sun has set and you’re incapable of continuing,” she told me, her molten-silver eyes glowing with her intensity. “Now, get dressed and back to your studying,” she told me, dismissing me with another swat to my rear.

“When you’re not busy, then?” I asked her hopefully.

“Yes, pet, I look forward to it,” she told me with such a dazzling smile, it was practically a weapon.

I reluctantly got dressed and sat at the table with my textbook. I heard her pick the phone back up and call Lasinda. She seemed to have no trouble reciting my measurements.

She left me to attend to her business with the instruction to remember to eat. I didn’t know what she was doing exactly, and I had learned that asking was useless; if she wanted to tell me, she would. I knew it had something to do with dresses and the ball. She had been stressed since the previous day. I could tell. It wasn’t as bad as when her father was ill, but I saw it in the way she moved.

When the guard knocked on the door, I was surprised as I hadn’t ordered any food.

I opened the door cautiously.

“My lady, the Lady of Coactus requests your audience,” the guard told me, stepping aside to reveal Heidi.

“Heidi, what are you doing here?” I asked her.

“Visiting you,” she answered.

“The Princess isn’t here,” I told her.

“I know,” she said, huffing frustratedly.

“I don’t know if you are allowed in,” I explained, feeling a little output and looking to the guard for guidance.

“I’m sure Selene won’t mind. I came to study,” she told me, holding up her bag that I assumed held her textbook.

“Guard,” I said, and he looked at me. “Is there some sort of policy on visitors?” I asked him.

“Our Royal Highness has allowed guests to enter in the past; however, not without her presence,” he told me. “The choice is currently your own, my lady. I have no formal instructions banning you from receiving guests.”

“Oh, please, Percy, for the love of the gods,” she sighed heavily, “I may need your help to pass this class. I’m already behind. My father will stop my allowance if I need to retake another class next term,” she told me.

I thought over my options. I was alone and bored and did not know when Selene would return. Heidi was harmless enough and she treated me as an equal, almost.

“Okay,” I relented, and she stepped past the guard and inside. “Have you eaten?” I asked her.

“No,” she answered.

“I was going to order pizza; we could share if you like?” I asked her.

“That sounds fantastic,” she sang and winked at me as she made herself comfortable at the kitchen table, pulling out her textbook and notepad.
