“And you belong to me,” I say, smirking playfully.

And when he tells me nothing will ever tear us apart …I believe him. We’ll be together beyond forever.

To the end of time.

Fern Fraser Books and Bio

I'm Fern Fraser and I write contemporary steamy short romances.

The stories are low-angst and high-heat.

The men are possessive and will do anything for the woman they love. They always put their woman first and know how to satisfy.

No cheating after meeting, no cliffhanger, and each story ends with a happily ever after.

JACKSON

I’m in a bad mood, and the last thing I want to do is attend a long-ass, boring meeting. It sucks because I don’t have much of a choice. The entire cast and movie crew are meeting on set this afternoon, and I have to be there.

As one of the stunt coordinators forThe Naughty List, my job isn’t particularly difficult. Over the last ten years, I’ve worked on action films with car explosions, fight scenes, and some of the most daring stunts in the business. So this should be a walk in the park.

The problem is my own headspace. I’m feeling the holiday spirit, but I also don’t want to work. Christmas is a week away, and I want to stay at home with my daughter, enjoying some time with the only family I have—to take away the sting of losing my parents in December twelve years ago.

At least I know I’m being a grumpy asshole, even if I can’t control it. That’s why I spent all morning reviewing the budget for the movie’s stunt-related expenses. Paperwork is my least favorite part of my job, but it keeps me away from the others working on set.

Of course, a majority of my coworkers have known me for years, and it’s common knowledge that the holidays are hard forme. It’s the reason they give me a pass when I trudge around with a scowl on my face and insist everyone keep their most wonderful time-of-the-year crap to themselves.

I walk onto the set and spot my best friend, Ryder Thorne, standing at a long table with cold-cut sandwiches and bottled drinks. He’s eating a turkey club, and any casual onlooker would assume he’s completely at ease. But I know him better than that. Ryder’s here because his security company, Thorne Operations, is contracted by the studio for the duration of the movie. He takes his job seriously, so I’m sure he has eyes on the entrances and exits and is assessing everyone in the room, even though his employees check IDs as soon as anyone sets foot on the lot.

I walk towards him, spotting a plate of Christmas cookies with frosting and sprinkles on the table. I grudgingly grab one shaped like a candy cane, deciding my dislike of the holiday can take a back seat to my love of all things sweet and sugary.

“You look thrilled to be here.” Ryder’s tone is sardonic as I come to stand beside him.

We’re near the back of the room, and I can see the director talking with one of the executive producers near thefamily living roomset piece. He hasn’t started the meeting yet.

“Meetings are boring,” I declare. “I don’t have any stunts planned for the rest of the day, so I could pick up Cam if I didn’t have to stick around for this.”

“Pick her up? Shouldn’t she be at home with the nanny?”

I shake my head. “Mrs. Young has her family in town for the holiday, so she can’t come to my place like she usually does. Luckily, the woman loves Cam like she’s one of her own grandkids, so she’s happy to watch her at her place.”

Sometimes, I can’t believe how fortunate I was to find a nanny like Mrs. Young—or Mama Robbie, as Cam calls her. She’s a woman in her fifties, with grown children, who treats my daughter like she’s family. I trust her completely.
