Shivers spasmed up and down her spine, and Austin cupped her bottom, scooting her body to a nearby desk. Her butt met the hard surface as he nudged her backward. Slipping from her foot, her right shoe fell—the weight of his body forcing her flat atop the desk.

“Mr. Templeton,” she whispered in his ear as a frenzy of nerve cells imploded within her body, arousal clouding her brain with the touch of his lips on her neck.

With battered breath, he tugged at her jeans, unbuttoning until his hand grazed the top of her panties.

She moaned, stars erupting before her eyes as her back arched, desire flooding her system.

Austin returned his lips to hers as a single finger explored below the line of lace. Her skin, set ablaze by his touch, warmed, heat blanketing her body. A switch flipped in her brain, tuning out the cold wooden surface beneath her and the brilliant sunshine flooding the empty office. The physical space around them melted as her full attention rerouted, focused beneath the thin layer of lace separating them. She pressed herself into the force of his hand and groaned.

“So eager, Mrs. Templeton,” he teased. His breath tickled her skin as she shuddered beneath the weight of his body.

Casey inhaled, her heartbeat slamming into her ribcage as Austin’s finger teased and then dipped inside her. The pressure set her skin ablaze, and her hand shot outward to steady herself. Her fingers collided with an ancient office phone, and it tumbled to the floor, the unexpected rattle lifting his spell of seduction.

“Hello? Hello?” A distant voice smothered the fire fueling the moment of passion. The voice echoed from the floor as Austin groaned and peeled himself from her body, replacing the receiver to the base with a soft click.

“Umm...” Casey dragged her hands along her pink cheeks and sat up, the warmth meeting her fingertips. She giggled and buried her face in her palms. “Oh, God.”

Austin snickered and scratched at the stubble on his chin as his lips stretched into a wide grin. “Case... I, umm...”

Leaning back, she zipped and re-buttoned her jeans, willing her heartbeat to return to a normal pace and rhythm.

What the hell just happened? Were your hands just down my pants?

“Austin,” she whispered, wrapping her arms around her body as she lifted her gaze to his and grinned. As she shook her head, her blonde curls tickled her cheeks.

He cleared his throat and bent down, scooping up his jacket and Casey’s missing shoe. “You know, Casey girl...” He swallowed and pointed at the desk beneath her butt. “I think I’ll put my office right here.” Tapping the wood, he sank to his knees and slid her shoe back into place. “And this...” Austin lifted his gaze to hers. “Is definitely my new desk.”

Her cheeks flushed as a dizzy spell overpowered her brain. His icy baby-blue eyes bore into hers as he stood and replaced his jacket. “Come on, Cinderella, let’s get out of here while I still have the strength to control myself around you.”

The breath caught in her throat.

You can lose control like that anytime you want.
