“What about the calendar?”

“Oh, I completely forgot. It’s already been paid for.” She waved her hand in front of her as if that bit of information was nothing important.

I shook my head. “I don’t understand. Who paid for it?”

She shrugged. “I don’t know. There was a cashier’s check dropped off this afternoon—no name, just a note.”

My heart rate accelerated. “What did it say?” I almost whispered.

“Um.” She bit her thumb. “It was odd, really. It said, ‘Tell her to light a match.’ I’m not one to question a donation but that was a little bit weird since I don’t know who ‘she’ is.”

I started to laugh.

She looked at me with kindness. “And Jacob already called. He told me not to let you cancel the calendar. He’ll come through with the athletes for you.”

Then I started to cry over my laughs.

She pulled me into a hug. “You’ll be OK, Camille. I’ll get every penny out of you.”

I groaned. “Thank you, Jenna.”

“So, do you want the job?”
