CHAPTER1

BODHI

“Where are you taking me?” I ask as Coco drives us up the mountain.

Her laugh is music to my ears. She runs one hand up my thigh, coming only inches away from my thickening cock. “It’s a surprise. Surely you can be the recipient for once.”

I want to take the blindfold off so I can see the smile I know is gracing her beautiful face, but I let her have her fun.

“Do I really need the blindfold, though? What if I was prone to getting carsick?”

“But you’re not.”

I smile at the laugh I hear in her voice.

“Shit,” she mumbles the second I feel the car slow down.

My hands go to the piece of fabric covering my eyes, ready to remove it at any moment. “What’s wrong?”

“It’s starting to snow.”

“Do you want me to drive? I can take over if you want me to.” I offer. I’m not sure if Coco’s ever driven in snow before.

“I’ve got this, or at least I think I do,” she mumbles the last under her breath. I don’t think she meant for me to hear her. “I wanted our first Christmas together to be special.”

I take her hand in mine and lace our fingers together, hating to hear the sadness in her voice. “We could have stayed at home, and it would have been special. Every day with you is a gift.”

She squeezes my hand before taking it back and doesn’t talk for the next thirty minutes. I’m desperate to look out to see the snow and the conditions, but I decide unless she says something, I’ll continue this little game of hers.

“Okay, we’re here.” Her warm fingers caress my cheek before slowly lifting the fabric off my face. For a moment, I wince as I’m blinded from being in the dark for so long, even though the sky is gray and snow falls rapidly around us. When my eyes finally adjust, Coco is hovering in front of me with a small smile on her face. Her blonde hair falls around her face in waves. My fingers itch to run through her hair, but I stop myself.

“It makes sense now why you packed like we were headed to Colorado for Christmas.” Leaning forward, I brush my lips to hers. “Thank you for this. Until now, I didn’t know how much I missed seeing snow. It’s been so long.”

“Wait until you see the inside. We have our own winter wonderland for the next week. Now let’s get inside before we freeze to death out here.” She unclips my seatbelt and jumps out of the car with me following right behind her.

Grabbing our luggage, I watch as Coco talks to the man, I assume is the owner of the two-story cabin where we will be staying. I doubt he’ll try anything, but I don’t know him, so I keep my eye on them just in case.

As I’m climbing the stairs, Coco shakes the older gentleman’s hand and looks back at me with a blinding smile. I give the man a smile of my own as we pass each other on the stairs, and even though Coco and I live in a multimillion-dollar home, I stop in my tracks when I see the inside of the cabin. It looks like a resort you’d see in a magazine. It’s all rustic with big wooden pieces scattered throughout, and the view from the windows is awe-inspiring. It makes me wish I had brought my painting supplies to capture the beauty all around me.

Wrapping herself around my side, Coco lays her head on my arm as we look out at the snow-covered mountain and trees. “I brought the camera. I know it’s not the same, but there was no way I could have packed up all the art supplies you’d need.”

“I brought a sketchbook with me, so it and the camera will have to be enough,” I grin down at her. “Although I don’t think I’ll have much free time.”

“I wouldn’t plan on it,” she purrs.

Once I got the all-clear from my doctor to perform as usual, we’ve been making up for lost time ever since. Most days, it’s a testament that we ever get out of bed long enough for either of us to work. I’m still at the shelter, but I’m also doing everything I can to open the center for children by the summer when they’ll all be out of school and more prone to get into trouble.

“Why don’t you take the bags to our room while I unpack the food we brought, and then we can sit by the fire?” Taking the cooler from me, I watch as she walks away, swaying her luscious hips. With each step she takes, I think of nothing but taking her from behind. Maybe I’ll bend her over the couch or push her up against one of the windows with her full breasts pressed to the cold glass.
