“Killian?”
“Of course,” Sienna chuckles. “Tell him what you need, what you want and he’ll get it for you. Trust me, I know how frustrating it can be, the thought of relying on a man to help you with your power but remember what I told you, you’re a team. Let him help you, make sure he letseveryoneknow who's really in charge of the Irish and you’ll be golden.”
“Speaking from experience?” I tease and Sienna laughs.
“Absolutely. You’d be surprised how many people forgot my death count when I fell pregnant,” she grins.
“I could never,” comes Killian’s voice and my heart jumps into my throat as he melts out of the crowd to join us.
“Because I put the fear of God in you,” Sienna remarks smoothly and Killian laughs deeply.
“Indeed.”
“I’ll leave you to it, but again it’s so wonderful to see you. Eat, drink, celebrate!” Sienna kisses my cheek and vanishes into the crowd as Killian pulls all my attention.
The spice of his aftershave sends shivers over my skin and my heart thumps painfully hard in time to the music as his arms come around my waist.
“I’ve seen everyone I need to see,” Killian purrs deeply in my ear.
“Mmm, me too,” I reply in a whisper.
“Want to get out of here?”
“Uhm…” My friends arrival gives me pause, part of me wanting to say. However a stronger part of me affected by the noise, the crowds, my aching core from Killian’s previous activities and a rising craving has me nodding. This is enough meet and greet for one night. “Yes please,” I reply, “I’m starving.”
“Pickles and Ice cream again?” Killian asks and I laugh heartily as he begins to weave me through the crowd toward the exit.
Yes, this definitely isn’t the life I pictured for myself but I wouldn’t change it. Not for the world.
EPILOGUE - CARA
Rolling onto my stomach and igniting the throb that exists in my chest wakes me, drawing a soft groan of discomfort from my lips. Habit and instinct has me immediately reaching out for Killian on the other side of the bed but instead of warmth, I’m met with cool sheets and emptiness.
Ugh.
Cracking open an eye to confirm I am indeed alone in bed, I then roll back over and check the clock.
Shit.
I’ve slept in. Or Killian let me sleep in, it’s hard to tell. They tell you in books and articles that the family dynamic will change once a baby is involved but it’s always worded as if it’s the worst thing in the world. A strain on the relationship and more. While I appreciate that… Killian is different.
A light bloomed inside him the night Cole was born and that light has burned brighter with each passing day. The thought warms me, even if I’m having to get used to finding the bed empty more times than I care to enjoy.
Leaving the warmth of bed goes against every desire burning in my heart but I force myself to ignore it all, pulling myself up from my cocoon and immediately whimpering as my pussy aches loudly at the movement.

A breadcrumb trail where Killian’s mouth had eagerly devoured me the night before.
Fuck.
If I linger too long on that, it won’t be the breakfast I’m seeking out.
Squeals of laughter drift through the bedroom door, pulling my attention from my marks. Closing the robe around my body, I tie it securely as I pad into the hall, following the sounds to the playroom, my mind already running with what I will find.
