Fromthecornersofmy eyes, I see Casey and her bodyguard have entered the club, but I continue to face one of the stalls near the corner of the club where a dominatrix is engaging in CBT with her sub. I see Chase go and sit at a table in the far corner. Casey approaches me.

Sitting down, she glances at the mug before me. “Tea?”

She leans in toward me. “I’m not afraid of you.”

“So I assume you’re gonna play tonight,” she says.
“Why would you assume that?” I return.
“Why else would you be here?”
