I go up to him. “Who’s that man standing outside the door?”

“No one you need to worry about,” Jack replies.

“He’s like a jail-keeper or something. He wouldn’t let me go looking for you. Why?”

“I was busy.”

There’s an edge to all his responses. Does he think I’m being too nosy?

“Jack, what’s going on?” I ask.

“We’re taking you back home—I’mtaking you back. Today.”

Okay. I’m disappointed at the abrupt end to my time here, but it’s probably for the best.

“So eat your breakfast and get dressed,” he finishes tersely.

“What’s your problem?” I demand, not liking the way this is ending. After putting up with his comrade, I deserve a nicer farewell.

He narrows his eyes. “What do you mean?”

“We’re done. I get it. You don’t have to be a jerk about it.”

He shakes his head to himself. “I’ve been called worse.”

“I haven’t.”

“Of course you haven’t.Princess.”

It’s like he wants to pick a fight. And if that’s where he wants to go, I’m not afraid. I step into him. “You know, it was kind of fun being called a slut or a whore, but ‘princess’ not so much. What do you have against me anyway? Or do you just have a chip on your shoulder when it comes to anyone who doesn’t have the same rags to riches story you do?”

A muscle along his jaw tenses, and I second-guess my decision to challenge him.

But all he says is, “Get dressed.”

It’s the sensible thing to do, but I’m done submitting to him. “If we’re finished, you’re not my Dom anymore. You don’t get to tell me what to do.”

He closes what remains of the gap between us, and I immediately feel a current go through me. Damn my body. It can’t help but react to him.

He lowers his head. “You need someone to do it for you, princess?”

Pursing my lips, I refuse to be intimidated, though I wouldn’t put it past him to take me home wearing nothing but a towel if I pass up the chance to dress.

I tilt my head. “You plan on getting your buddy Andrian to do it?”

His eyes constrict.

I press on. “’Course, Andrian would probably want to do something else first. Would that turn you on? Maybe I should go get him. We could have one last encore…”

I turn to walk past him. He could easily call my bluff. I thought I made it obvious that I don’t like Andrian, but I wanted to see if there was the least bit of jealousy in Jack.

He grabs me by my arm and throws me onto the bed before pinning his body over mine.

Gripping my jaw in one hand, he demands. “Is that what youwant, princess? Andrian won’t refuse. Maybe this time I’ll let him take his pics.”

Although I’m glad Jack stopped me, his words aren’t the ones I wanted to hear. He does sound a little angry at my suggestion to get Andrian, which is a good sign, I think, but Jack might make me see my bluff through. Would he really let his dick of a friend take pictures of me?

“Asshole,” I spit as I try to push Jack off me.
