And my mom liked him. That was another bonus I didn’t have to worry about with this guy.
As I rose on the tips of my toes and kissed him, bidding him goodnight, I couldn’t stop smiling.
“This really was fun,” I told him.
“I had a great time,” he said. “Goodnight, Harper.”
“Goodnight, Trevor. Thanks for the good time.”
“Let’s do it again sometime?” he asked.
I wasn’t too surprised he asked for another date, but I appreciated that he didn’t put the pressure on me to go out with him again right away. He was likely still trying to figure out just where I stood with this entire idea. My mom was the one who had put it in motion, but we were going with it pretty well ourselves.
“I would like that.” I nodded, leaving the idea at that. I was enjoying how little pressure was on this, even if we were moving forward.
It was nice to have those in place without having the pressure to perform.
“I’ll call you,” he told me with a final kiss on my forehead.
“I would like that,” I called over my shoulder.
I walked into the house, leaning against the door for a minute as I caught my breath and thought about the way the night had gone. It was incredible, that was for sure. I couldn’t remember the last time I had such a nice date.
I would go out with him again.
This really could be something.

“About timeyou decided to show up for work. Thought you were going to just play hooky today and not give me anything to go on,” Nick said when I walked into the office and set down my coffee mug.
“I knew we didn’t have a lot of patients coming in today, so I wasn’t in too much of a hurry to get out of the house this morning. I still feel weird coming in late, though,” I admitted.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you come in late in all the time I’ve been here,” Nick said. “Fun night?”
“Dude, you have no idea,” I said with a shake of my head. “I think that was the best first date I’ve ever had, and I’m not exaggerating.”
“Do tell,” Nick prompted. “Did you get laid?”
I gave him a look, but he didn’t back down. I knew he wasn’t going to, but I wasn’t entirely prepared for him to take the direction he did.
“I was totally jealous in the shower last night, thinking about how you could get yourself in bed with the mom and her daughter. I mean, it might be weird bedding your patient, especially when the daughter is fucking hot, too, but I’ve heard of weirder things happening in life,” Nick said.
“You seriously think I would have gotten in bed with both of them?” I gasped, and he nodded.
“I don’t know what man in this world would turn down a three way if it was opened up to him, especially one that was a threesome with a woman and her daughter,” he said.
I thought about it for a moment. There was some merit to what he was saying. He wasn’t wrong. There likely were a lot of people out there who would want to have sex with both the mother and her daughter if possible, but for me, it was just too weird. I wasn’t going to get in bed with anyone I doctored, but, more than that, I wasn’t going to get in bed with a mother and her daughter both.
That was just far too weird for me to handle. I hadn’t even entertained the idea.
“Okay, okay, but what about the daughter?” he asked. “How did you get away from the mom?”
“Gwen actually didn’t go at all,” I said.
“Really?”
