Ryder’s hand palms my breast, and instead of repulsion, my body reacts with need, my nipples pebbling and pushing against the palm that kneads me. It’s like he needs to touch me everywhere all at once.

He breaks the kiss, and I can finally suck some air into my lungs. “You’re messing with my head, kitten? Messing me so bad I can’t think of anything else but sinking my cock into these pretty lips, and fucking you till you scream my name...”

He takes a sensitive nipple between his thumb and forefinger, twisting and tugging until I throw my head back, everything south from my belly in knots with need and a burning desire.

“Ryder…please…” I have no idea what I’m asking for. Do I want him to stop? Do I want more? My mind is a haze. Ryder fills my thoughts. My capacity to think clearly has vanished.

“I bet I can make you come, just like this, fucking your mouth with my tongue, touching these pretty tits.”

He smirks down at me, then invades my mouth again. A hungry man in need of sustenance. His hands drop to my hips, pushing me against the cool wooden door, and a moan leaves my lips.

He pushes his hips forward, and the feel of him, solid and ready against me, makes me cry out. It’s agony. Unadulterated agony.

I feel him everywhere, and when I think it can’t get any worse, our bodies fuse, and we’re rubbing against each other. My pussy aches at the friction. I know we won’t survive. He lifts me by the ass, and I’m powerless, wrapping my legs around his hips and pushing harder against his erection, pressing against my heat.

“I want to fuck you, Ash.” He moves his hand to my neck, pressing lightly, “Tell me you want this, kitten. Tell me how bad you need it.”

“No,” I growl, but I’m kissing him harder, with so much pent-up need and lust. Arousal courses through me, sharp and electric. I feel any more of this, and I’ll combust.

A loud knock at the door has my heart thudding hard against my ribcage. Breaking our kiss, I unwrap my legs from around him, but I’m still welded against him. I push against the hard wall of his chest. I’m out of breath, dizzy, and I haven’t had one drink all night. He licks his bottom lip, fire dancing in his eyes. “Let them knock,” he whispers, stepping closer. I shake my head, reality dousing the flames of desire still coursing through me. His eyes darken, a slight tick in his jaw as he gives me the distance I have been craving and dreading.

Someone tries the doorknob, and I move out of the way. A girl enters, red dress, big boobs, perfect, and she walks right over to Ryder, barely noticing me at the basin. “Here you are. I was looking for you, sexy,” she purrs and rubs up against him. He leans in, and my heart squeezes in my chest when he kisses her, tongue and all, right in front of me.

After he kissed me.

The taste of him is still on my tongue.

His large hands grope her ass, and I storm out of the bathroom, unable to see more of that. How could I be so stupid? Maybe my asshole friends back home were right. I’m not worth it. Never have been.

Two years ago

Kissing Ethan Gray has to be the highlight of my senior year. Him asking me to prom with serenading and doves was a dream come true. I couldn’t wait to tell my mom about it. I round the corner, and my heart drops to my stomach. It’s like a scene from Criminal Minds. Police cars and black SUVs have blocked off my street.

“What the hell?” I whisper to no one in particular, making my way toward a barrier.

“Sweety, you can’t go through. There’s been an incident, and no one’s getting in or out of here for a while.” The police officer tells me.

“But I live on this street. My mom is probably gonna be worried.”

The woman sighs, her brown eyes conflicted. “Look, just wait here and call your mom. If she can come to get you, it’s okay.”

I nod, pulling out my cell phone. I dial my mom’s number.

“Hi, this is Trinity. I’m not available….”

Voicemail. Argh. I dial the home line, an ancient thing we haven’t heard ring in years.

“You’ve reached the Hawthorne’s. We’re too busy living life to come to the phone….”

The officer looks at me expectantly. “Any luck?”

“No, she’s probably out there in the crowd. I should call my dad.”

I decide to dial his office line to be safe. “Smith and Hawthorne,” Krissy’s friendly voice is like a salve to my very stressed emotions.

“Hey Kris, is my dad available?” I ask the receptionist.

“Ash, baby, is that you? It has been too long since you were in here.”
